@allseeingreblogs

reblogging sideblog for allseeingportrait! i got tired of being reblogcentric so from now on reblogs go here | lemme know if i post something by a shitty person and I'll get rid of it

don't neglect your female blorbos. put HER in the torment nexus. give HER some old lady yuri. ship HER with everyone under the sun

i am not a psychiatrist but i do find it really weird how autism checklists are so often focused on "outward" signs of autism rather than what is going on internally. i don't know how to explain it but "do you make eye contact with other people" feels like a much less relevant question than "how does it feel when you have to make eye contact with other people?"

while i'm here, the other one that always pisses me off is "do you interpret idioms literally, for example 'bull in a china shop'?"

well, no, obviously. i know what "bull in a china shop" means because that is a popular phrase with a clearly defined meaning. and if i hadn't heard it before, then i would still not interpret it literally, because it has the cadence of an idiom and i would probably be able to work out from context what it meant. what is the point of this question

third and final complaint: "are you good at noticing subtext?"

i feel like the problem with this question is best illustrated by a conversation i had with a friend a while back, where i said something like, "i feel very safe with you because you don't do subtle hints and you are always very straight-up with me about what you are thinking and feeling."

and he laid a hand on my shoulder and was like, look dude i'm gonna be straight up here. i am subtle with you constantly and you simply do not notice <3

@luckyybones hope you don't mind me screenshotting but you are actually so correct

if vampires existed in real life i think there would be shady companies advertising "organic blood" sourced from "willing donors" who are coincidentally all poor people being paid like $5 per blood donation. and like haughty vegan vampires who only drink a synthetic blood drink thats brewed in a way thats actively worse for the enviroment. and radical traditionalist vampires who go on tiktok and claim that true alpha chads have to drain and kill people and anyone who leaves their victims alive is a liberal cuck. enter the world of hypothetical insufferable vampire politics with me.

when i see someone get a basic fact completely wrong like the glasses have medicine in them girl I usually just assume they misunderstood something when they were like 3 and never had it corrected and thus are a little lopsided in their knowledge base

like it doesn't mean you're a fucking r word who needs to have your autonomy stripped away (real comment I've seen more than once) it just means you don't know whatyou don't know

i was in the grocery store and saw an onion on the ground and picked it up, absently saying “poor little guy.” behind me a teenage girl started laughing and then stopped and went “aww. i’m sorry for laughing. that’s nice actually.” and the cycle of cruelty is broken for another generation as a young person realizes that it is not embarrassing to have empathy for another thing that was once living, because certainly to be a lone white onion rolling on the ground in a supermarket would be terrifying to anyone

[Image ID: Tumblr tags from spaceFuneral reading: #this reminds me of how these two teenage girls apparently come into my work often and i didnt recognize them but they recognized me #and they were like " do you just have a collection of mystical cat shirts" #and i was like oh god im about to be bullied by teenagers #and i was like haha yeah! #and said that one person gifted me one and then suddenly i was collecting them #and they were like "i love that i love your vibes" #and "thank you for sharing your lore" #and i was like god damn.......... peace and love on planet earth /End ID]

tired: "treat people like NPCs" as in disregard their humanity and interiority

wired: "treat people like NPCs" as in talk to them and learn their lore to feel more embedded in the world around you

it seems that a lot of times people telling someone to “get therapy” envision the ideal outcome of this to be essentially like lobotomizing the person in question
