4x21 The Mayhem on a Cross (Bones) is actually INSANE I’ve never given it enough credit

Gordon Gordon and Sweets - canon season 4 at least ONE of them ‘struggles with denying their attraction everyday’ STOP and then Sweets is just the most traumatised lil duckling ever he just wants to be loved and Gordon is so grandpa core and booth LOVES him

NOT TO MENTION the way that when their sharing their childhood trauma (so so rare) to make sweets feel like he’s part of a family and Bones shares a small snippet from an awful childhood experience in foster care and booth is just like ‘I was going to kill my self’ and then no one ever talks about it again

ITS ALWAYS THE UNSUSPECTING EPISODES

anyway go watch bones it’s the most unhinged found family, trauma, slow burn romance disgustingly lovely show ever it just also happens to be a for-tv crime drama 🥲🥲

In the ep when Brennan thinks Daisy was cheating on Sweets, why did everyone tell her that she shouldn’t tell him?? If it were true, it would make more sense to tell him rather than keep it a secret and let him just carry on, ignorant of what was happening. I thought Brennan was in the right and I was so confused as to why Booth, Angela, and Cam all thought she shouldn’t tell Sweets. I was also relieved that he wasn’t actually being cheated on but like. Why is it wrong to tell him what she saw??

If it were true, and she didn’t tell him and then he found out and she told afterward that she knew the whole time, then wouldn’t that be worse? That’s like friendship ending. To know something like that and NOT say anything?? Maybe I’m just not getting something. What am I missing?
