Petition for the appointment of a team for transgender conditions at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina
"The association Grupa ''IZAĐI'' from Novi Sad is launching a petition for the appointment of a team for transgender conditions at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina.
We call on transgender people and all their allies to sign the petition and support our initiative.
Transgender people are directly affected by the lack of adequate healthcare in Serbia. In the state healthcare system of the Republic of Serbia, there is only one medical team responsible for transgender conditions, and it is located in Belgrade. The number of available appointments is insufficient, and the way in which appointments with doctors in Belgrade work is inadequate, considering that Belgrade needs to be reached from both the far south and the far north of our country. The expensive prices of intercity transport and the costs of overnight stays in Belgrade represent a financial outlay that transgender people in Serbia are generally unable to afford due to discrimination in the labor market. That is why it is important to decentralize the healthcare system for transgender people, and we from Grupa ''IZAĐI'' propose appointing a team for transgender conditions at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina. This will make basic healthcare services in terms of gender identity more accessible to transgender citizens of Vojvodina, while the Belgrade team for transgender conditions will be able to focus on the rest of Serbia.
We intend to submit the collected signatures of support with a request to the competent institutions (the Management Board of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, the Provincial Secretariat for Health and the Ministry of Health)."
The organization Grupa IZAĐI and this petition are legit. If you're a trans person (or an ally), it would mean a lot if you could sign this petition to help your trans siblings in Serbia.
It's possible to sign this petition even if you're not from Serbia. You would just need to auto-translate it as it's in Serbian.
Currently at 910 signatures
Again, you don't have to be from Serbia to be able to sign this, you'll just have to auto-translate it cause it's in Serbian
