I have this odd little addiction to drawing my favorite characters napping together all cozy so naturally I had to hit these two with the eepy beam sooner or later as well

I always link back to the beginning and to the previous page at the bottom of each comic post!

Only three posts of this kind are currently out and they're really not hard to find but because I'm cool like that I will link them for you here too:

If by some chance you actually mean any of the other aftershow comics I released before this point - those are NOT part of the same story. The ones linked above ⬆️ are the only "official" ones for this AU, since they're adapting the "official" fanfiction that my lovely co-creator for this AU @munchiemooz is currently writing.

There isn't a lot, but among the "unofficial" ones is the "Crashing Into You" comic, which is adapting a scene from a wonderful fic that was inspired by our AU but is not actually "canon" to our version of it. ( Crashing Into You Part 1 // Crashing Into You Part 2)

Then there's also the two skits written by @ninnosaurus that I adapted, one where Felix and Catherine have a talk and one where Felix is sick with Nicky checking on him.

Hi, bit of an artist/writer question, hope that's alright with you!

How many times will you rewrite/redraw a page or panel before you feel like you've gotten the characters right? Or are you just goated and get it right first try lol

I think I explained in the past that I don't really work super linearly when I make my comics?

I make very rough thumbnail sketches first and well in advance so that the reading flow works better - this is where I tweak and redo stuff along the way the most, so it's kinda hard to say how much exactly I redraw them, but I wanna say it's generally really not much?

I think the most "redrawing" I did with this comic was in the car scenes where I didn't like the placeholder sketches in certain panels and spontaneously changed them as I worked my way through the most recent 6 pages? But even that was very mild lol - I just split one panel into two, added another and changed one character's pose in a different page a bit haha

to show what I mean, here's the pages in question next to their respective thumbnails:

I have mostly stuck with the first concepts that came to mind for me tho so that^^^ really is the furthest extent of my "redraws" so far haha

as for the *writing* - the dialogue I don't at all rewrite anyways since I prefer taking that from the fic 1:1, but I have slightly adjusted the phrasing of some of the "thoughts" I add in, since in the source material some of them loop straight into descriptions or reference something I adapted visually in the previous sentence that only makes sense in its phrasing to read within the paragraph - this is just one of the tricky parts of adapting a first person written story into a comic haha

it's been a bit since I doodled them without it being part of something bigger, I just craved some cuteness <3
