An Extremely Noble Sacrifice - Dirge of the Twin Flames
The second of my two pieces for the 2024 @naddpodbigbang event. I had the honour of illustrating the final confrontation in @kamielke’s Fic Dirge of the Twin Flames.

Mulan AU where she does get caught by the other fresh recruits while she's bathing but Mushu helps her spin it like the lake is cursed by an evil lizard demon and will turn men into women if they stay in it for too long.
From there it's not actually difficult to get the other soldiers onboard with covering up the fact that poor Ping took one for the team and got afflicted by the vagina curse, especially since it would have been all of them if they hadn't gotten the warning ahead of time. So they agree to help him cover it up, because obviously the army's not going to understand.
Shang is... tentatively glad that the men are bonding and getting along, even if they continue to be deeply weird about it.
Ling: Hey man, what's up— you've got boobs?!?!
Mulan: Uh, what boobs? Huh? Where did these come from?
Mushu: *facepalms and thinks quickly* (speaks from the shadows) I AM THE SPIRIT OF THE LAKE! BEWARE MY CURSED WATERS FOR THEY WILL TURN MEN INTO WOMEN!

The honestly surprising thing here imo is that even for *very* rich people apparently unbridled capitalism that makes them as rich as possible apparently doesn't buy them the same satisfaction as it can in places with less inequality.
You'd think (and every second temporarily embarrassed millionaire will argue) that if you can command a private limo, public transport doesn't matter. But apparently the systems that result in good public transport also result in amazing holidays for people so rich they wouldn't even consider using it.
If everyone can afford a nice coffee in the morning, there's a cute little cafe every 100 feet to serve it to them; if there's only 100 people in town that can afford that habit they're all going to have to hop into their swanky limos and haul their groggy asses to wherever the exclusive Coffee Club is located to get their fix.
If there's no public transit or bike infrastructure, your swanky limo is stuck in traffic behind 120 beat up Honda Civics.
If there's workers rights and public healthcare the barista there wants to have a nice little chat with every customer, because that's the human default way of greeting people in the morning. If there's not they straight up don't have the spoons and you get the dead-eyed Gen-X Millenial Gen-Z stare while you order.
No amount of individual expenditure will buy you what living in a healthy society gives.
You guys I just realized that what I’ve always wanted out of werewolf fiction is a story where lycanthropy isn’t a purely human condition
Like this dude wakes up from his wolfbender and his room is full of all these fucking chickens from local farms that he initiated into his pack. They all start clucking and crowing at the moon and when it’s full they all transform into these tiny little weird bipedal wolves with wings.

A wildlife rehab centre discovers that one of its patients is a lycanthrope when the full moon hits and their wolf transforms into a slightly different wolf.
Pearl fell off the platform in the end, logged out, and Grian tried to save her with a ghast. He was 5 blocks too low and she died from fall damage and lost all her gear. He felt so bad for failing that he made her an entirely new set of things and refused to accept payment when Pearl is insistent it's her fault and she also feels bad about it. Grian outright says he feels responsible for not being able to save her because he did his calculations wrong and Pearl remains insistent that she should have just been better so it never happened at all. It's really sweet but also it made me realize a really common trait on the HermitCraft server is the feeling of guilt for not living up to your own insanely high expectations even though none of your peers expect it from you. This applies to a lot of things like building too. Someone please help these guys 😭

Ohhhh boy okay, best places to start are probably the 1000 Days video thats 11 hours long, but if you dont want to go in there because its so long, I have a (intended to be preliminary for my friends fanfic Black Sheep Come Home) 100 days Beep Sheep short list, thats a great jumping on point!
If you go through only that short list however you miss a few very good and pretty lore important episodes (as well as some background ARG stuff), so I’ve also made an Additional 100 DMV’s playlist! The most important videos on that playlist are probably Space, Undercover, and Haunted Winter, but I’ve included some other 100 dmvs videos that also have lore in them too, and hidden videos we had to solve puzzles to find!
In terms of Pertinent Non-Video ARG resources, I’ve put @betweenlands post on here, as they’ve done a better job documenting these than I ever could :D
If that wasn’t enough of the ARG stuff for you, then we have Community ARG Resources for you too! this section will include The New Gundo ARG Doc that links you to all solved puzzles or will otherwise tell you the answer of said puzzles (as well as a bunch of other stuff) and the Amelioration Doc (by our friends @betweenlands yet again!! who documented their strategy for solving that specific puzzle)!

I think it should be considered a form of degendering to try to divorce trans people from their gendered histories. My gender doesn't make sense without the fact that I was a little boy, or something like it, before I was a girl and a woman. If you were always a girl, thats awesome, but a lot of people project their dysphoria onto me when I try to talk about my own fucking life. If you think talking about having been a boy makes me less of a woman, that is degendering.
NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg is a self proclaimed crafter. A week ago she made a stuffed dinosaur from scraps on the space station. The little T-rex is made form the lining of Russian food containers and the toy is stuffed with scraps from an old T-shirt. While many toys have flown into space, this is the first produced in space.
