"Bartering with desire. Is that what makes you fascinating?" |
If it is true that Heated Rivalry will end on 3 seasons, I wonder if Jacob Tierney is taking the Young Royals approach and doing six episodes for 2 and 3. If so, I’m cool with that.
It worked for YR so I feel it would work for HR, especially since Jacob sat those boys down and said study these scenes and pay attention to how these young men interacted with each other while in secret and in public. The hungry looks, the aloofness. This is what we’re aiming for. (Mind you, this is me paraphrasing what Jacob said to Connor and Hudson.)
I don’t know what it says about me and my broad spectrum of ships.
First, a 500+ yo vampire and his soon to be fledgling, who were in a situationship for twelve years before said vampire wiped his lovers mind of all traces of their relationship. (Only leaving his lover to have conflated memories of their fleeting romance.)
Secondary, two sad boy wizards with equally tragic backgrounds who save the world with a group of wayward adventurers, then fall in love because of their mutual interest in magic and research.
Tertiary, two professional hockey players from rivaling teams, who fall in love after their yearly trysts.
The spectrum is so insane I don’t know what to make of it.
I love that Ilya went into fight mode the first time he heard a Loon cry.
Of course! OF COURSE!
The power had to go out right in the middle of an important moment for these two adorable hockey lover boys.
WHY!
I hope at some point we get Jester calling Trent ‘Ickythong’ in the show. I just want to see that man get read to filth (derogatory) because he is a horrible horrible man.
The realization that my favorite characters always end up being sad boys with tragic backstories.
Realizing the best way to turn off my inner monologue is to get a tattoo. I can’t say it was extremely painful, it just felt weird. My brain also shutdown the pain receptors when the gun went over the more sensitive parts of my arm. The human body is fascinating.
I have faith in Christopher Heyerdahl as Marius because he played Nosferatu in one of my favorite episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark. He had to do silent acting throughout the entire episode, with the exception of screaming when Nosferatu perished.
As a kid, I found his performance scary as hell. Now, as an adult, it’s more nostalgic and silly, but his performance is still enjoyable.
It will be fun to watch him act alongside Assad, and I’m excited to love to hate Marius de Romanus.
