i just post my opinions

a thing that really shook me was the study where women performed worse in a math test when they were wearing a swimsuit vs a sweater whereas for men there was no difference. objectification literally diminishes your brain capacity. i can't help but wonder what we could be in a truly liberated society because there's no way that how we are raised to be objectified and to even self objectify hasn't thoroughly poisoned our brains to always underperform even in normal clothes.

Okay now think of how many sports expect women to compete in revealing uniforms

Think about how that might be effecting performance outcomes

I highly advise every woman to read ‚Objectification Theory‘ by Frederickson and Roberts (they also did the swimsuit study mentioned above to prove their assumptions). It’s a detailed explanation on how the sexualized male gaze and sexual objectification affect women‘s psychological state. The effect described above is explained by them as a result of constant body monitoring caused by self-objectification, which basically takes up a major chunk of our attentional resources and impairs our cognitive performance.

When women post about how their nose “ruins their face” and rejoice over getting a rhinoplasty, we understand that this is indirectly telling other women with these nose shapes that their nose is Wrong and needs to be “fixed”. When mothers complain about their curly hair and make sure it’s always straightened before they go out, we understand that this is indirectly telling their daughters that their own hair texture is Bad and needs to be “fixed.”

But when a bunch of women post about hating their breasts, talking about how they’re “in the way” or “ruin their outfits”, and rejoice over getting a double mastectomy which they cuteify as “top surgery”, then go on about “yeeting the teets” or “teetus deletus” or “bye bye boobies”….we aren’t supposed to point out how this can also indirectly tell other women that their breasts are Wrong and Bad and need to be “fixed”?? We can’t point out that making a huge deal about how “awful” a natural body part or trait is, is harmful to everyone else who has that trait? We can’t talk about how women and girls might see this content and feel pressured to remove their breasts, the same way they might feel pressured to change their nose shape or straighten their hair or get any other cosmetic procedure or beauty ritual that’s being promoted to them because god forbid a female person exist in her natural state?

Men ruined lesbian spaces. I don't wanna go into a lesbian bar and see a gross man in a dress. They're creepy and make people uncomfortable but most women are socialized to lie and pretend they're ok with them. We need to start being honest. I want women's spaces to actually have just women in them. The whole point is for there not to be men.

Even lesbian marches have these freaks in them now. Narcissistic, predatory men cosplaying as women don't belong in society much less our bars, marches and bathrooms

I'm honestly happy that you feel those spaces have been ruined for you, I think it's funny when bad people lose things that matter to them. Sorry, but trans women are confiscating your spaces entirely for ourselves until you learn to share. From now on cis women won't have any locker rooms and will simply have to get changed in the janitor's closet.

You know, I've been to gay bars and had actual heterosexual, cisgender MEN hit on me. There are predatory men who do invade lesbian and sapphic spaces and don't leave us alone, but that's not trans women. Trans women understand when you're not interested.

"men understand when you're not interested" literally NO lol

the way TIMs bring up intersex people as a gotcha!! card like... sir, have you ever even talked to an intersex person. do you really care about these people. c'mon bro

"Stop this gender war, it's useless, women are just as bad as men!"

Are we? Really? When they have never stopped attacking us? When they're the ones who are violent? When they're the ones committing crimes?

In the name of patriarchy

16 year old girl came to GYN clinic with abdominal pain, she said she is betrothed, the MALE intern took history and went for PCOS or Ectopic pregnancy. I asked her if she is a virgin? She said yes, of course. I explained that if she is lying, it will affect her diagnosis.

"I've been raped 2 months ago, it wasn't my husband. I didn't know him. "

She is 16, with a husband and father and brothers who will kill her when they realize she is not a virgin.

She is shaking.

She is thinking about suicide.

She is begging to be admitted to the hospital.

Her story is vague. She is trying to hide who was the raper. She is not ok. She is crying. She is 16.

She has an infection. She needs medical help. She hasn't been checked by a forensic physician. She hasn't been checked for HIV or HBV or STIs.

She doesn't care. Just cry and beg me. "They will know, they will know I'm not a virgin"

Later, my attending said: the rape may be wanted by herself, maybe she had a boyfriend and was dollying behind her husband.

My attending is a woman.

My male colleague laughed and said: poor her husband, he doesn't know WHAT he is getting. Poor man is getting second hand.

My other male colleague said: when girls are not vigilant, this will happen to them. Take care of yourself.

Everyone laugh and forget.

And I'm screaming in my mind. Nobody hears me. Nobody cares.

She was just 16. Crying, panicking. Because she wasn't a VIRGIN. Not because she was raped. Not because she has infection. Not because she may have HIV.

And in my mind I'm planning. We need shelters. We need somewhere for these girls. Somewhere for them to take their medical help.

We need doctors.

We need lawyers.

We need empathic people.

We need to free them.

We need a plan. No one helps us. We need a plan.
