Ateez lore masterpost

1. Where to start

First things first and most importantly, Ateez has written lore. They usually release it exclusively in the physical albums, there’s a dedicated diary version for every release.

I compiled a Google Doc with every diary release, in order of the albums, for your reading convenience. Treasure series had no written lore, they start at Fever Part 1. I usually update this on release day with the new material.

2. Story summary

I’ll explain the main storyline and bigger themes here, so if you don’t want spoilers, read the diary doc first!

The main plot of the lore is fairly simple. There are two worlds, or dimensions featured, World A and World Z, which mirror each other. The same characters and environments can be found in both. Ateez, as a group, as characters appear in the lore, they are a fictionalized version of the real members. They were given backstories that were influenced by the members’ real lives and personalities, but in essence, they are just characters. Ateez, or Feverteez as referenced sometimes, are from World A. There’s a World Z counterpart, which you might be familiar with, and they are the Men in Black Fedoras, or Halateez (which is how I’ll be referencing them in this post).

World A is basically our world, and World Z is a dystopian version of it. World A Ateez have a dream - to stay together and perform, dance and sing. But their circumstances don’t allow them to do that, no matter how hard they work towards their goal. So they go their separate ways. World Z (or Strictland) Halateez are rebels, who are fighting the system that made the population numb and emotionless. They are fighting with their performances, to evoke feelings in people.
