my hot take is that people need to stop using the word neurotypical in place of ableist as much as they do because in my experience people with clinical depression and anxiety are just as likely to be ableist towards psychotics and people with “scary disorders” (not to mention their frequent ableism towards autistics and the like as well as their dismissal of the physically disabled) as neurotypicals are.
