Everyone else in Yor's life seems to believe she was. I'm sure Yuri would have taken any lie Yor told him about her work at face value, especially when he was a child who wouldn't understand. But he isn't stupid. And unlike with his suspicious about Yor's marriage, everyone else in his life also believes this. Yuri probably put the pieces together when he got older which only made him more overprotective.

This would recontextualize a lot of Yuri's actions. From his perspective, his sister was a victim of repeated child exploitation from unknown men. She purposefully didn't tell him and Yuri wasn't able to do anything. Now a strange unknown man has apparently been married to his sister and she didn't tell him? It probably felt like the same thing was happening all over again. But this time he could do something about it.

That's why he did a complete 180 from trying to find Yor a boyfriend to trying to have Loid executed. Why any suggestion of them being intimate sets him off more than anything else. And why he is so focused on eliminating scumbags from their country.

I think this was hinted at in Yuri's very first appearance. We have never seen him behave as violently as he did in his introduction scene. Yuri started off his interrogation with Mr. Hayward pretty calm and jovial. But when Mr. Hayward says that he was "spending money on ladies" and claiming that Yuri should know what that's like as a man, Yuri explodes. He starts sadistically torturing Hayward while screaming about protecting his family. To him, this man was as bad as the people who took advantage of his sister.

And it can't even be argued that it was the treason that set him off. He did not have the same reaction to the photographer, and Yuri even tried negotiating a quiet surrender with Twilight. He wasn't delighted to hurt Twilight or put the photographer in prison like with Hayward. Nor did he mention protecting his family. These guys were doing much more treason yet they didn't elicit the same personal response and sadistic rage.

1. Origin of your blog's name: i,,, okay i made my blog w/ my big sibling's help when i was like, ten? eleven? and at the time i was big on the hand-llama phase. (that phase has HAUNTED ME. i was 'the llama one' in ppl's minds for YEARS).
2. My 'I'll always order this' food: My go-to food if nothing else looks good is usually some form of chicken, be it sandwich or tenders, BUT! If available, I LOVE a good mushroom burger.
3. Overused emoji: Admittedly I don't really use emojis ALL that much? Probably the thumbs up, because I use it the MOST frequently in general. usually, i prefer emoticons lol
4. Current comfort movie, show, and book: for show its currently MASH & Supernatural. i cant think of any one specific comfort movie + book that im into atm though.
5. Song on repeat: I usually switch between a few albums on repeat more than anything. Anything by 'The Mountain Goats', 'Front Bottoms' or 'Against Me!' is fair game. BUT admittedly lately I've been on a little MCR kick.
6. My current hyperfixation: Okay I actually am kind of. in the 'in-between' where I'm rapidly shifting between several LOL. Right now it's between Twilight, House MD, MASH, and JRWI.
7. Oddly specific thing that brings me joy: My dog!!! Specifically his little prancy paws. He walks like a little horse!!!
8. Something I did as a kid and still do: Play Minecraft! One of my really early memories is when my big siblings introduced me to it, and nowadays my siblings have a server together :]
9. Phone wallpaper right now: Factory default x_x. I'm really bad about changing wallpapers lol
10. Are you an early bird or a night owl: Night owl but it does not feel good. I feel like I could really thrive if I could make myself wake up and go to sleep earlier but it simply Does Not Happen. (and like prev i have. Many morning classes this next semester which is going to Suck xp
