A day to Miyajima, Hiroshima, Japan. November 2025.

I wasn't the only one who felt the cold suddenly permeate under my coat and my thermals those few days in Hiroshima and Fukuoka, Japan. My camera was acting up and working only sporadically during the trip, leaving me with so few photos to dream of these places and the experiences a second time.
There is a particular wonder (and questionable beauty) in scarcity: in knowing when something starts and where it ends. In being able to look at something closely and realise that's all it will ever be.
This time autumn. Autumn has the reputation of the player. It is the season most longed for, and yet stays the shortest.
