@arandomcluelessone

shorthands for dumbassery that i have grown to love deeply

  • "how dare you say we piss on the poor" in response to someone misinterpreting your post
  • "_ isnt gonna fuck you" for suck up behavior
  • "woah. should we tell everyone? should we throw a party?" for who the fuck cares
  • "and what if the world was made of pudding" for when would this ever matter.
  • "and sharks are smooth both ways" for a group of people heatedly arguing with 1 guy who is fucking with them all
  • ".. but its about a witch in the alps finding her lost cat" for someone trying to sanitize something to the point of absurdity

this is prime proof that this ENTIRE WEBSITE is autistic because nowhere else would a no tags post that's just an informative list about slang get this much traction.

Pirates magma!

I had to go with a One Piece reference ofc. I looked for a good reference and well, ultimately landed on the classic volume 1 cover.

special thanks to @vulstare for hearing me whine about the prosthetic arm and then helping me out ghdfhgfd it looks amazing, thank you ToT

Finally, the original has crossed my dash.

@strangezeroz welcome to tumblr where the app decides when you can be gifted with the sight of og memes, you cannot look for these yourself via the search engine, you won’t find them, you have to wait to be gifted them

For those of you who might be new here, Tumblr has no algorithm, legendary memes are brought to your dash by mutuals like pet cats bringing you dead birds.

for the dragon au, how would you say getting raised by tang shen affected the boys? Did tang shen and Splinter have different parenting styles? What was her reaction to her mutation? Did she train them in martial arts? (is that even necessary for a dragon-) Did Yoshi train her? Do they still have ninpo because they weren't raised by Splinter? Who did she designate as the oldest? Did they live in the sewers or the Hidden city?

How would you say getting raised by tang shen affected the boys? Did tang shen and Splinter have different parenting styles? They grew up with an incredibly loving mother who was more present than Splinter could be <3 Tang Shen was also more of an openly loving parent, unafraid to frequently tell her sons how much she loves them. The bros have a healthier relationship with their mother!

What was her reaction to her mutation? Horrified and disoriented, its why she missed/dropped a few baby dragons while in the process of escaping Draxums lab. She went from bipedal to quadrupedal + extra limbs all in a single day, but in the moment she set aside her feelings to rescue the baby dragons and run to safety. Its not until she found somewhere relatively hidden from view that she broke down and realised the full scope of her change and her actions and her discovery. She didnt have time to process the fact that an entire hidden city was located under New York, or that her lifelong crush was kidnapped to fight in an arena, or that he died when she finally found him. And to top it all off? MUTATION! She did not react well at first.

Did she train them in martial arts? / Did Yoshi train her? She did educate her sons in martial arts! She encouraged them to watch all of Lou Jitsus movies, and discovered early on that her sons really enjoyed and excelled at reenacting the fighting scenes from those movies, adapting the moves for their individual physical capabilities. She realised it was a perfect way for her sons to learn about combat in an enjoyable and fun way, while also being close to their father, and that inspired her to do some research. She thought it couldnt hurt to let her sons carry on a legacy, while also learning how to defend and protect each other.

After Yoshi disappeared, she looked after his belongings and after she was mutated (she took those with her to her new home with her adopted sons). Those of which included allot of scrolls and books and ancient texts about the Hamato clans history, fighting styles, rituals, etc. She read it all and decided it would be wise for herself to learn self defense and offense to protect her children in this new and crazy situation she found herself in. The physical training of learning to fight and meditation to sharpen her mind also did wonders helping her adjust to a new body, and were a really good distraction whenever she missed her old life and friends. It was like she was also helping to embody Yoshis legacy in a way, a form of honoring her closest friend, by keeping his history alive in a new generation.

Do they still have ninpo because they weren't raised by Splinter? Everyone has ninpo! The baby dragons were all created using Yoshis dna, Hamato dna, and because the brothers see Tang Shen as family like they do with April, shes also counted as a part of the Hamato clan. But Tang Shens ninpo is nowhere near as powerful as Yoshi was.

Who did she designate as the oldest? Raph is the oldest! Then its Donnie, Leo and Mikey. She doesnt know about the others yet, but theyre all older than Raph, with the actual oldest being Jennika, then Venus and Frida.

Did they live in the sewers or the Hidden city? They all live in the sewers, Tang Shen knew next to nothing about the Hidden City and decided it was safer to remain in the world she actually knew about. New York.

MORE DRAGON LORE GUYS

We will never know.

BEGINNING || PREVIOUS || NEXT (SOON) MASTER POST

But at least we now have an explanation for how both Raph's shell and Donnie's battleshell got up on the wall haha. So glad to finally get to this part of the story and start wrapping up this arc! This is one of the few times I will fully color a panel but it felt necessary to capture the feel of the moment and Mikey's artwork! We do have ONE more update for this arc that will be from a completely different perspective... I'm very much looking forward to sharing it with you guys!

I also wanted to share a special song I had meant to post along with the earlier updates when Mind Raph and Leo are chatting. I have it in my Replica playlist but I'm adding it here because I feel like it captures the relationship between those two perfectly. The strings feel like a somber Leo while the wind instruments are more like a hopeful, almost ethereal Raph, ending with the strings trying to replicate the wonderful energy and joy the winds gave off even after the winds have been silenced entirely. It just feels like them to me and I would highly recommend rereading Leo and mind Raph's conversation with this song if you're in the mood for some feels.

Overall I don't have too much to add to this update considering how well Mikey states it... but I do think there's something to be said for the different ways people deal with loss depending on their relationship to the departed. Ghostbear and many of the survivors saw Raphael as a hero first and a friend/person second. I see this a lot in how people can put their heroes or even movie stars/influencers on a pedestal, but then lose sight of the humanity in those people and how their methods of praise might hurt those closest to the person or even the person themself. I think the best thing we can do is just remember that we are all human, we are all imperfect, and we are all deserving of love and respect both in life and death.

As always, thank you for joining me on this journey!

that movie had no right being so angsty

I’m on episode 11 of season one. So far it’s just been silly turtles and 2017-2018 boy humor.

WHEN DOES THE ANGST HAPPEN I’M FUCKING SCARED YA’LL. AT WHAT EPISODE DOES IT DIVERGE INTO ABSOLUTE ANGST.

WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?!

Ohhhhhh you poor, naive soul...

well imm sick and have a shit ton of time on my hands, here we go. I’m gonna see how much Ninja turtles can hurt me!

update us after the movie rabbit <3

Not me doodling designs for that TMNT x Stranger Things crossover continuation au stuck in my brain.

Not me thinking about turtles in 80s—90s fashion.

Not me having to research 80s—90s fashion because I was born in the 200s and the only things I know about the 80s—90s are the “back in my day” stories from my parents.

Anywho.
