Kora Reese had been just a LTJG when the Normandy was destroyed by the Collectors. The crew scattered to the winds after their triumph over the Geth and Saren. Their commanding officer declared dead by the Alliance. That short tour of duty aboard the SR1 had changed her life in so many ways. Meeting Kaidan Alenko had changed her life in so many ways. Now nearly three years and a heartbreak later, they cross paths again. Afraid of what that could mean, Reese must make a choice: continue to ignore what her heart wants or try again.
With the Reapers inching closer to victory each day, Major Kaidan Alenko and Lt. Commander Kora Reese serve aboard the legendary Normandy captained by the equally legendary Commander Shepard. Between their last ditch efforts to change the fate of this cycle and the insidious plots of Cerberus, will they ever truly have the second chance they both want so much? Their past relationship aboard the SR1 and the years apart after its destruction by the Collectors left a mark on both of them. After reconnecting on Earth before the Reapers invaded, Kaidan and Kora face the consequences of their past choices. Will they be able to finally overcome their doubts and insecurities or will this time around end in heartbreak as well?

Kaidan Alenko and Kori Reese originally met on the SSV Normandy SR1 during the Eden Prime mission. Their relationship grew from crewmates to friends to more.
This is intended to be a place for prompts featuring small moments in their relationship from ME1 to ME3 and beyond.
