i headcanon that even after the finale of the game many people (now even more since the z-team got popular) still don’t take waterboy seriously no matter how hard he works. so i needed robert to comfort hermy because rob himself didn’t have much support when he took his father’s role as mecha man. idk i love the idea of them bonding bc they both had issues in the beginning of their superhero careers
