See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

tryna get back to baseline

twenty one pilots twenty øne piløts tøp clancy torchbearer the torchbearer clancybearer my stuff i made this video edit my edits song is baseline by caroline dare figure i owe the shout out since i used the majority of the song also since they're kinda subtle. all lyric changes are intentional anyway smth smth you cant actually do this alone you need a support system and that's why the cycle failed. bc clancy faced nico alone. believed that he had to. but you CAN'T trench drives you mad if you're alone. you NEED people around you and you need to let them help you rlly happy with how this came out tbh. especially the sai section been working on this on and off for almost two weeks glad it finally came together

mythrite asked:

nnnnever mind i made up another— not sure if it’s consider an idiom ?

“With a gun to their head” (in a hostage way) -> “With blurrypaint to their neck”

and also gunpoint -> smearpoint/seizepoint !

ooooh wait those are really interesting, i love when sayings paint (ha) the bishops as a threat, you just Know the banditos take great joy in slandering them in as many ways as possible.

also makes me think of like: “okay but gun to your head, what would you pick?” -> “okay but nico’s hands to your throat, what would you pick?”

ask mythrite linguistics twenty one pilots twenty øne piløts tøp dema vialism trench idioms these are fun!! i havent done many smearing sayings but ohhhh the potential is There

mythrite asked:

im not one to construct fictional linguistics, but i am a big fan of the dema-isms :D

i thought up another version of a "when pigs fly", being "when bishops see yellow". a bit wordy but i think its neat [:

oh that one’s fun! i can totally imagine the banditos using that

ask mythrite linguistics twenty one pilots twenty øne piløts tøp dema vialism trench idioms and thank you! the dema-isms have been so much fun collaborative fictional linguistics are genuinely one of my fave fandom things

i present, my silly self-indulgent picking apart of drag path and the jocals there in. ft color-coded lyrics and my own commentary.
i am a drag path jocals truther, and this is my evidence <3

original twenty one pilots twenty øne piløts tøp tyler joseph josh dun drag path video meta my stuff i made this (i know this isn't reeeeally meta but that's the tag i use on this blog for analysis and stuff) listen either drag path jocals are real or tyler's joke from the drum show behind the scenes about singing like josh is real BECAUSE IT REALLY DOES SOUND LIKE HIM so either tyler's doing one hell of an impression or he managed to talk josh into singing on two songs and obviously i am firmly team actual jocals partially bc the THEEEEMES anyway obviously without access to the actual files or an official credits page we Can't know for certain (also i have an audio processing disorder so i was Not the best pick for this job tbh) but i AM as certain as i possibly can be. that i've gotten this much right so. drag path jocals. you agree

you guys ever think about our first actual view of the Torchbearer. just this lone, imposing figure up on the cliffside staring Blurryface down, chest heaving and eyes shadowed and a target on his chest

the torchbearer on the top of the ravine as seen in the jumpsuit music videoALT

its kind of scary its not friendly. he really is this sort of Figure at first. he's just watching, he's not making any moves just yet but he's there and he's witnessing this all happen. he remains after the rest of the banditos retreat.

and it's only revealed to us that this is josh when we get this close up and can see his tattoos. i have to wonder if they rolled up his sleeves on purpose so you could see that it's josh. because he really is. completely anonymous when he's all geared up. he's a faceless entity he's a figure in the background and he's watching. he's waiting. and he's staring blurryface down. He's The Torchbearer BUT WE DONT EVEN KNOW THAT YET ! WE JUST KNOW ITS JOSH !!! we just know that it's josh and because it's josh he's good and he's here to help. him being josh is one of our Only indicators that he's friendly.

regionalatbandito

do you also think that like. they let us the audience know Torch is friendly but like. how often has Clancy been wary of him. because Clancy doesn't have that indicator that his presence is friendly and safe... she doesn't know....ALT

NO LIKE PREV @purpleleafsyt EXACTLY. like in NATN before Torch pulls his bandana down Clancy DOES look nervous she looks really wary. The Banditos all but surround her and it's only until the mask comes down does clancy smile and looks relieved and happy to see him. and she has every right to because like. WE know the banditos are here to help but the way they actually sneak into the city in the dead of night and like. flank Clancy and box her in on either side does feel very very threatening. She IS nervous she doesnt know who these people are or if she can trust them yet and i think that was intentional.

its almost like. she is wary of The Torchbearer but she knows she can trust Josh ykwim... I DONT KNOW its so so so interesting in retrospect.

purpleleafsyt

I think perhaps the reason Torch pulling her bandana down contributes to Clancy feeling safer around him and the other Banditos with them is because it's the first time she's seeing people rather than myths whispered around Dema. Because I don't imagine those myths are particularly kind coming from within the city, it's no wonder Clancy was nervous since she has no point of reference for what they're Actually like. Surrounding her isn't really the greatest first face-to-face impression.

But Torch doing that turns it from Clancy comprehending a legend into her seeing and connecting with someone real. Especially with how anonymous they can be with how they all dress similarly and cover their faces. Or somethingggg I also don't know

!!!!!!! YESSSS yes yesyes oh my god this exactly. I think you’re right on thr money ..

reblog twenty one pilots tøp torchbearer clancy i am CONSTANTLY rolling this post over in my head and they ABSOLUTELY rolled his sleeves up just so we could tell that it was josh bc torch never wears his sleeves rolled up again in like. any other mv or even any concert that was them gently turning towards the camera and going 'no no. it's okay. it's just josh. you can trust him' being that anonymous while geared up is absolutely intentional though. means his face isn't recognizable harder to stop a faceless threat. yknow.
a gif from the livestream experience from right before ride of tyler clapping on beat as he tries (and fails) to suppress a smile then glances at the cameraALT

tyler actually does a really good job throughout the whole livestream experience of selling the “clancy as a miserable propaganda puppet” thing but. something about this moment, right before ride, where he’s clearly trying (and failing) to suppress his smile and you can tell that he’s just thrilled to be performing again, even if in a different format than normal, just. charms me.

clancy might be having a damn miserable time right now but tyler is so happy to be back on stage, even for just one show

original gif twenty one pilots twenty øne piløts tøp tyler joseph clancy livestream experience ride scaled and icy my stuff i made this id in alt you can always tell that he loves performing. literally any concert footage will show you that much but this moment just. gets to me. first performance post-pandemic and he's so fucking excited that he slips out of character for a minute bc he just can't help it especially bc this comes right after level of concern and the ''in a world where this is as good as it gets. and we miss you. we really do.'' bit i just love this moment. it's cute ashdgfjsdf
