i just got a fic idea for some toxic narumitsu and oh wait that’s pretty good actually-
wait when did tumblr round the corners of the posts-
the corners are rounded- wtf-
due to exposure to it, y'know what, i'm picking up what odonaru shippers are putting down
mentor x mentee? especially during the seven year gap? yeah no okay i'm starting to see it
phoenix and miles that are friends but if you're an outsider you'd think they'd be dating (or straight up a married couple depending on how you view relationships)
phoenix constantly gives miles little kisses whenever able; he especially loves giving him hand kisses because they both enjoy hand holding
miles is always giving phoenix gifts or taking him (and eventually trucy as well) to fancy restaurants that would seem like romantic candlelit dinners. phoenix likes to joke that he's being treated like a sugar baby (miles is adamant that that's not what he's doing, and phoenix believes him; it was also very hard to hide his reaction to getting called daddy, even if it was originally a joke)
it's not rare to find them leaning against each other when they're sitting on a sofa or bench together
but if you say "you and your boyfriend/husband are so cute together!" they'll look you dead in the eye and let you know that oh, no, they're not in love or anything with such seriousness that, yes, you're incredibly confused and want to think they're joking, but you're left having to believe them while now having your entire view of relationships in every sense of the word being irreversibly changed
what i'm saying is phoenix and miles that are so confusing about what they are to outsiders that they make you realize and change your allonormative views
okay i will say that in hindsight and realizing how i ship the various iterations of narumitsu, this is basically entirely true…
