i bring a sort of aggressive kms energy to the table. a sort of now everyone's problem energy to the table.
"do it scared" is valuable advice but it'd also be SIIIICK and AWESOME if it stopped being scary at some point. any point
oh my god yes
I’m sick of people acting like klavier is some cool rebellious rock god like NO!!! HE ASKS THE JUDGE TO GIVE YOU DOUBLE PENALTIES!!! HE PRETENDS TO BE GERMAN!!!!! HE HAS GAVINEERS BRANDED SHOES!!!!!! The secondhand embarrassment is crazy what a dork
I knew It was too good to be true
"it's art! there's no rules, just make what you want!" is, i'm sure, very helpful to some people. but like. can i have a little bit of rules please. as a treat. i'll return them later, when i've actually figured out what i want to do here
"just do it bad!" again, likely helpful to some, but it carries an assumption that the issue is some form of anxiety, making it distinctly useless to me
i'll admit, my issue is (once more as i try again) with composing. but whenever i try to find advice it's one of the above (not helpful thanks, consider me an absolute beginner) or worse, "learn the basics, here is what a note is" (i'm going to smack you over the head with my cumulative ~15 years of preforming music in a semi-professional capacity)
and like, i've chosen my bpm, tempo, chords and whatnot, i'm even going with the tried-and-true ocarina of time method of 6 notes and a short answering phrase to complete the motif and then building off of that, but now it's like. how make music go
went looking for advice on how to proceed again and was gonna say wow people are supremely unhelpful and preachy about this but then i remembered that i was looking at a reddit page. what did i expect
