Vibing with a capital V 18 | she/her and they/them | German

Long overdue Intro post!!

Hello there! I've been on here for a while, but I never made an intro so let's do that now haha.

You can call me Aura (or Dastler)! I am currently 18 years old and I'm German. I'm bi and use she/her and they/them pronouns u.u

I speak German and English and am currently studying Japanese (A2 on Busuu, which probably means nothing). I reblog a LOT of things, but you can find my own posts under #original post (unless I forget to tag something haha).

Some of the fandoms I'm into: The Glass Scientists, Dandadan, One Piece, SCP, Pokemon and a ton of other things tbh

I'm really into biology and especially ecology and evolution. I might post some more spec evo stuff eventually, but who knows! I also really like linguistics and worldbuilding. ^-^

Some more less general stuff under the cut, so that the post doesn't get too long :3

I know atheists are annoying and all that but I don't think that when we had to make class projects about evolution half of the class jus presented a half assed christian creationism myth that wasn't even accurate and told us about jesus and original sin without any evidence for the theory at all

They got A's for telling a fairytale while I was studying Oparin's abiogenesis theory. What is the point then. What is the point.

Creationism: Isn't it impossibly convenient that the physical properties of the Earth just happen to be so perfectly suited to the existence of human life?

I am at a point where I’ve become so desperate for Michael-related fan songs that I’ve coined a new genre called “Retroactive Michael Fan Songs” what it is is basically any FNAF song that was almost certainly written without him in mind (a lot of which were written before he even existed) that you could retroactively make about Michael if you were crazy (like me)

An example of this phenomenon would be No More by Natewantstobattle

Was written about the first game in 2015

Contains very Michael-coded lyrics such as:

These halls are lined with blood I can’t have on my hands

These walls they seem to call my name

But I refuse to be another puppet in your game

I literally assumed it was about Michael the first time I heard it and was shocked at the accuracy Nate’s prophetic visions once I learned the truth.

To me, there are several different species of car/truck guy.

Materialistic truck/car guy who has a $50k+ new vehicle he does not need for work, he can barely afford and he purchased as a status symbol and expects everyone to be soooo impressed by his smalldickmobile? Sucks. Horrible guy. Makes it his entire identity. Financially irresponsible, usually an asshole driver and parker because nothing matters but his vehicle, usually extremely vapid and unpleasant.

Shitbox car/truck guy who really loves his 15+ year old piece of shit vehicle and is keeping it on the road through thoughts and prayers and is attempting to soup up his 2002 Chevy? Down to earth, resilient, usually capable of helping you with your car problems because he has had every car problem imaginable, humble, often much more interesting than materialism car guy.

It’s the same for vintage vehicles too, the guy who bought a fully restored muscle car just to show it off sucks ass but the guy who has spent 5 years slowly rebuilding a ‘68 Chevrolet Chevelle he found rusted out on Facebook marketplace is a car guy I can respect.

watching the monterey bay aquarium aviary cam and just watched a wild bird fly by the window and pause to look inside at the aquarium's birds poking around the sand in their enclosure... what the fuck do you think their relationship is like

You are not a bother. You are not a burden. You are not a waste of space. You are not annoying every person you talk to. Your existence matters. Your presence makes a good difference.
