My entry for the CRK 5th anniversary contest!!
got told at lunch "you feel like Tumblr Incarnate" and i had to tell them i've been here for 13 years and counting. i was here three years before dashcon happened. i saw the mishapocalypse. i survived the gigapause. i've been here longer than the shoelaces post. i've been here since it was hipsters versus fandom and i played both sides extensively by overdoing the sepia filters on everything and making my own flashing galaxy gif edits for my fandom posts. i'm every tumblr. it's all in me
Oh ancient one what wisdom do you hold?
- 99% of callout posts are bullshit and just petty personal drama someone is escalating to get even on a grudge. do not engage with these, do not freelance as a cop
- DNIs do not work. accept this. internalize that people you don't like will see your posts and engage with them. this is unavoidable and the sooner you make peace with it the freer your mind will be. block the freaks and don't sweat the small stuff
- building a tight knit circle of fellow weirdos who vibe with your particular quirks and taste is infinitely more rewarding and sustainable than chasing the biggest numbers
- don't respond to bad-faith arguments or bad takes; just block people, blacklist tags, filter post content, and move on. don't feed the trolls (or the bigots)
- don't hate-follow
- don't tag your hate (ex. if you're posting about how much you hate a ship, don't tag it as that ship, etc.)
- don't feel obligated to keep following someone who posts stuff that upsets/depresses/angers/bores you just because you know them really well, or because you're mutuals, or because you used to like what they post. following is nothing personal and neither is unfollowing
- op doesn't know you; avoid parasocial relationships
- don't pick fights or reblog posts just to disagree/argue
- spread joy and positivity in your circles
- disable anonymous asks

The way Tumblr has flocked to talking about ISFF but how I haven’t seen a single post about Tara Knight/Bundle of Styx (she uses the bundle of styx username on many platforms, I don’t believe tumblr is one of them and the person with that username on tumblr is different) is crazy.
Tara is a black trans woman author who is being targeted by the LITERAL FBI and pressured into taking down her writing and essentially erasing her platform and accusing her of “promoting radical gender ideology.” It’s a first amendment violation and a serious threat to trans women of color especially in the USA.
But I haven’t seen a single person on tumblr say anything about it? I only heard of this because I happened to see an instagram post of another transfem talking about her? Where is the discussion of this on tumblr, and why are people only talking about white women who get banned from tumblr for saying shitty things?
- answered by encyclopediamorbidica
like. we know why. black trans women are rhetorical devices that don’t actually exist and their struggles are to be applied to a more acceptable white trans woman instead, like how the life expectancy for black and brown trans women in the global south being 35 is suddenly applicable to white trans women in the imperial core who don’t go outside
Reblogging because I didn't know about Tara, and for those who're in the same boat, here's a Bluesky vid by a friend of hers talking about the situation of her and others being targeted by the FBI, which we all should be getting the word out about because sweet jesus.
And, in terms of her writing, here's a piece on whisper networks that's a fair bit more nuanced than I've seen of white people's writings on that topic, and here's a couple of articles she did that're very relevant to the subjects OP is talking about.
And also, here is her Ko-Fi if you want to help her out!

Can't really go on posting here without acknowledging the death of Jazz Sparklefur 💔
This piece of art has been my banner here maybe since it was first made, it was an art trade with Jazz from 2021 and maybe one of the most thoughtful pieces of art I have ever received from someone.
So much detail and consideration was put into this rendition of a very old design of mine I made in 5th grade, but this level of consideration was present throughout all of the work they did for people.
I know I am not the only one who was affected deeply and inspired by this wonderful person. We hadn't talked in a few years and I never wanted to bother them. I noticed that they were archiving so much of their work, and their website even in the last few weeks.
As devastated as I am about this, I can only imagine how their partner, family, and closer friends in the last few years are feeling. Please extend support to their partner, at toyhou.se/mafreidyne
A shining light in the community, Jazz, thank you for all of the kind words you shared with me, the passion and thoughtful care for archiving and honoring so much of the spirit of the deviantart era.
I will never forget you, and I'm sure many others feel the same way. You touched so many lives with your creations. The words you shared even 6+ years ago now when we were all on deviantart still ring so powerfully.
Rest in Peace ❤️🩹

this is peak trans culture because this would have been easier with very nearly any other guitar design but she just haaad to use one shaped like the letter e. Not afraid of a challenge. Respect.
I would like to add that their name is E, literally just the letter E, like they’re in a spy movie. As if that wasn’t cool enough already she went and got a guitar shaped like her name. Fucking icon.

Jokes on them my pussy calcifys when aroused
In all seriousness though... clits also firm up through 100% same mechanism as dicks because the two are essentially the same organ just differently proportioned... if you have any of that you are capable of getting "hard"
Mine gets harder than all of yours though. Mine mineralizes. It fossilizes. I'm harder than a man or woman could ever be.
You should probably have that looked at but honestly if it doesn't bother you then you do you I guess.
You wouldn't believe how many geologists I pull
