I don't know if i enjoy that Nightwing is getting more popular yet. On one hand I'm so glad more people like the guy I've been a fan of since I was 6. On the other hand, I look at the general public batman fanbase that aren't comic fans (that actually deeply care about the character) and don't know if I can handle that with Nightwing.

horrible news: you have to practice to level up your skills because it's unrealistic to think you'll be good at everything first try

this applies to unlearning things like shame and creating better coping mechanisms and forming new habits

there's a fine line between being wary of manipulation and becoming completely paranoid because you get very close to the realisation that pretty much all human interaction involves doing things we hope will lead to a result we like

this post is about a lot of things. it's about my ex saying it was manipulative to talk to them in a cute voice because that influenced their emotions. it's also about someone on this webbed site saying being funny is "engagement farming". like yeah every single conversation you have is going to be "manipulative" if your standard for that is "did something with the goal of eliciting a response". if that bothers you go live in a hut in the forest and speak only to the trees. I'll be over here manipulating my friends into being happy by giving them compliments

If Bruce did have avoidant eating patterns I do think Dick could have fixed those by choosing to eat with him. Dick takes his dinner down to the cave because he knows he can lure bruce into eating if he pretends he won’t eat without bruce in the vicinity. this backfires tremendously whenever Dick leaves
