Well…it was only a matter of time before I redrew this scene. Again. Still a work in progress.

The way Tech said ‘fascinating’ just did something to me. It’s just ahhhhh. I drew the moment (second image) back when season two came out and since my style has changed here and there, I’ve been meaning to redraw it. Kept putting it off because of commissions and other stuff, but I’m tackling it now.

Still really love the first one.

At the time I was struggling with background/ lowkey refusing to do super detailed ones so I just put the background from the screenshot behind my drawing of Tech. Since then I have greatly enjoyed drawing backgrounds so obviously this time around I was gonna tackled the background in my art style. Even if it wasn’t the greatest.

anyway I’ll never shut up about how Hunter has a modified DNA like none other and unlike enhanced muscle or brain he’s instead got a sixth sense for EM waves and would regularly act like a dog barking at Nothing in the backyard

he does not leave the window

Chapter Summary: Phee solicits Hunter and Crosshair for help with a rescue mission, but things get complicated when they cross paths with an old rival.

CHAPTER ONE: Pirates

Hunter lowered into a crouch, peering through the bracken and ferns at the woodland creature in the clearing beyond. The animal must have detected his slight movement, because it raised its long, sloping neck to look around, its trumpet-shaped ears perked and alert.

His breathing was soft and silent; he could smell the dirt beneath his boots, the greenish tang of the forest, and the musk of the animal who was upwind of his position. Every muscle rigid and bunched to spring, Hunter waited for his quarry to make a move.

If it sensed him, it would run, and the hunt would continue. Hunter’s aching calves and sore feet preferred this to be over soon. He’d been searching for fresh game since daybreak on this remote planet. His shoulders were tired from hefting the heavy game bag – he’d already gathered two quarries from the snares he’d set the rotation prior. But he knew the contents of his bag wouldn’t be enough. He still needed one more before he could return to Pabu.
