As one of the first areas the player encounters, The Marrow instantly sets the tone for all of Pharloom with its cavernous vocals, roaring brass, thunderous drums, and mournful strings. This is not dead Hallownest with its ghosts and husks and dreams; Pharloom is doomed but clinging to life, drenched in religious fervor, aching to move on but bound by purpose. Cast among pilgrims, you feel the crushing weight of the climb in its first steps, yet also the hope that there's meaning to it all.
