Somehow Thrice has exceeded this beloved album's original recording, applying 20 years of maturity to a stellar collection of songs. These songs are little changed structurally but carry fresh strength.

I've always loved Thrice's pair of songs around the Icarus myth, and "The Melting Point of Wax" is absolutely triumphant here. Teppei's lead guitar shines beautifully as Dustin's voice soars upward, while Riley and Ed anchor the track with steadfast drums and bass work. It's truly excellent.
