I grew up on a diet of raves and techno in the early 90s. It was a pivotal time in the evolution of dance music. The genres hadn't defined themselves. A DJ could play a Detroit techno record in the same set as a rave classic like Moby's Go. R&S were pumping out genre defying New Beat esque breakeat records and jungle and drum & bass didn't exist. Those were exciting times.
