Yet another gem from Robert Reed, perhaps the best yet from all his Sanctuary albums that pay tribute to Mike Oldfield's early years but always have something truly original to say even if there are sporadic (intentional) hints to MO's themes sprinkled across the material. Even the 'avangarde'-sounding passages (a bit echoing David Bedford) are captivating! Brilliant arrangements, sound, production and packaging. I am more than happy with this wonderful album!

Is there any musical style in which Pete DOES NOT excel? The big band arrangements, even if mostly programmed/sampled (except for Pete’s sax?) are downright gorgeous (credits, please!) Pete’s singing is no less brilliant: he captures the idiom so perfectly as if he had never done anything else all his life. I am mind-blown by Pete's versatility and the sheer perfection achieved with obviously limited production budget and facilities!
