The last time I had an album on repeat was Paleopneumatic. Dissona really operate in a league of their own, unparalleled and uncompromising. Another phenomenal release. Full review here: metalstorm.net/pub/review.php?review_id=20963

Immaculate songwriting of near unprecedented originality within the modern prog scene. I can't even express how masterfully crafted this album is...

You'll be lured in with soothing instrumentation, crushed by riffs embodying the weight of the ocean, and have your incapacitated body dragged along the sea bed on a journey through serenity. My only gripe: the thing's too damn short! Check out my full mini-review over here: www.metalstorm.net/users/list.php?list_id=3313

On a side note, I sincerely hope they re-record the Fracture EP, the riffs sound amazing!

How do you even begin to describe this monumental achievement? I'd venture to say prog hasn't seen this level of impeccable originality since...Dissona's Paleopneumatic. This is the masterpiece I always wanted from Omnerod. Utterly blown away.

I'm convinced Dissona can do no wrong. 7 long years after their last album and they still sound as theatrically unique as ever. While "The Prodigal Son" is quintessential Dissona - if such a thing can be said to exist - and "Skinjob" was one of their classic curveballs, the ending of "Renaissance" is spine-tinglingly monumental. I'll gladly wait another 7 years for another brush with this band's magnificence.
