A perfect cross section of beats that are never afraid to step outside the confines of any particular genre, so expect some glorious shreds of sub bass, jazzy breaks, hard beats and slammin tunes spread out across three discs. Glorious.
Superb triple CD choc-a-bloc with all kinds of moods and textures, incl. Bukem-esque dreamy bits, jazzy undercurrents, harder dark styles and razor sharp sub bass all impeccably produced. So much quality music to indulge. If you like this I highly recommend Subtle Audio Vol 2 also, which was a triple CD snap shot of the label in 2010.
Bought on the strength of the sublime preview track Viewed from A Rural Hill. BUT the remaining 2 &3/4 hours is nothing like it and the preview is therefore very deceptive. Even as a huge FSOL fan the rest is never to be played again, being nothing other than hours of meh 'installation' ambient/drone type stuff that does nothing (IMHO).
