  14. Mind Explosion (50th Anniversary Tour Live)
    by Shakti
Such powerful life enhancing music (Śakti; 'energy, ability, strength, effort, power, might, capability'). I was there at the beginning and honoured to be here at the end. From Mahavishnu Orchestra’s first album ‘Inner Mounting Flame’ then Shakti ‘A Handful of Beauty’ through to ‘Mind Explosion’, McLaughlan and Shakti have kept the Indian tradition and jazz fusion music alive and kicking. They would never be the same without Zakir, so this, the last album, is to be treasured.

    by Ustad Noor Bakhsh
Ustad hops about on his Benju like a bird on the wire. Lively, lyrical and heartfelt music from a master of his instrument. Ustad’s version of Baluchi folk will get you up and hopping along. Can’t wait to see him in October at the Talking Gig in Sheffield 😁
  19. NU Live in Glasgow
by NU-Don Cherry, Edward Blackwell, Carlos Ward, Nana Vasconcelos, Mark Helias
Hey, I just found this wonderful archival recording of this concert. I was there and remember every moment. Thank you Mark, thank you so much for making this gem available. Jazz history in the Now. And it’s still as relevant as it was while you were playing it.
