These wizards are so prolific in their genre-hopping that I have trouble describing their music to others. L.W. embarks the listener on what I consider to be the quintessential KG&TLW sound.
Jesus Christ! This album sounds as good as its cover looks. Part fantasy, part sci-fi, part protest album, part other shit, this masterpiece has it all. Fucking unreal!
This album is so good it makes me angry. I've decided to legally change my mom's name to Loretta just for an excuse to like the song even harder. She doesn't even like this kind of music. Whatever.
Funny story: I was at one of their shows with my mom and she got wasted on shots and barfed on some guy's pants and he spent the rest of the show with no pants on.
Poignant, hard-hitting themes, lush chord progressions, masterful production. With each listen, I hear more of my favorite bands lending their influences on this album. Tough to choose a favorite song.
Season 2 nails the 80's electro-indipop that I hanker for on a near-daily basis. Takes me back to my VHS/jam shorts/GPK/ playing with G.I. Joe days. Still waiting for Season 1.
Modern aesthetics meets retro vibes. Lots of references to traveling makes this a super road trip album. Makes me yearn for a life up north that I've never lived.
If you hanker for the "real" Smoky Mtn-inspired geetar yarn, or if you grew up on '60s-'70s country music, do yourself a favor and check out these folks. Pulling from the roots of past country artists, CAB is the real McCoy.
