What an oddly brilliant band. Empire of the Sun has a bass line I could listen to all week. And I have! I don't even generally care all that much about bass, I'm much more of a guitar guy, but this song... And the band fleshes out the rest of the song exquisitely. There are a couple of other keepers, too; Prisoner and 426. I, The Witch is alright. There's just such disparate styles on this record. Intriguing, at a minimum.
