Sorry for the unhinged tags, they are there for me and will almost certainly grow longer and more unhinged yolo. By the Book (By Hook or by Crook) - T - complete, 1/1 chapter After Gold brings a partially-conscious Belle to the Nolans’, he and David have to find out what happened (set between chapters 20 and 21 of By Hook or by Crook).
Wrong Number - M - complete, 29/29 chapters Belle has struck up a strange friendship with a man she only knows over text. Having finally escaped a bad living situation, she gets involved in the local city council, where she meets Mr. Gold, who seems hellbent on hating her guts. It’s a good thing she has her mysterious text friend for comfort.
Gilded- E - complete, 1/1 chapter Mr. Gold runs a speakeasy during Prohibition and hires a new waitress. RSS 2024 fic. Winner of best RSS fic and best one-shot CCAs 2025.

Belle is just supposed to do Danny’s books and keep the office organized, but when Something Happens, she gets drawn into a world she never expected. Lachelle (Lachlan Macaldonich from California Solo x Belle) On the Rocks - M - incomplete, under 5 chapters presently Desperate to stay in America, Lachlan vows to quit drinking, but it’s hard when he lives alone and there’s nothing else to do in the farmlands of California. Luckily for him, he meets a woman outside the AA meeting. On hiatus.
Begelle (Franco Begbie from Trainspotting x Belle) Somewhere Out of Space and Time - M - complete, 1/1 chapter Belle gets on a late night train to London to flee her life, and when it breaks down in the middle of nowhere, makes an unexpected connection with her seatmate.

Bedtime should work like in computer games where I lie down and click “yes” on a menu and then there’s an eight hour timeskip and I can get up again all refreshed.
And what inspired that somewhere out of Space & Time?

OOC from me: Ahhh, Begbie xD I was trying to think of a scenario where he would be forced to behave like a normal person and engage with the world without going bananas and he has generally been shown to not do anything violent on trains. Also in the book, he does travel. So I figured he has enough sense to be generally well-behaved on transportation xD It was originally going to be just a one-shot. But. I am incapable. xDDDDD
i grew up in a family of left leaning hippies (thank god) but i can’t stop thinking about the one holiday dinner party where my teenage cousin said something about immigrant hotels and needing to stop the boats and there was like. a pause at the table until our grandpa, a very mild mannered man, just went “now where the fuck did you hear that?” Incredible aura. ive never heard that man swear before or since but man did he pick a perfect time for it.
I was at an ex’s holiday gathering when one of his siblings said something about “all of the immigrants ruining the kids’ schools” and their dad, the Sicilian patriarch of the family said “Like the immigrant you’re planning on inheriting money from?” and I have never giddily sat through a more awkward silence.
