Too late to go on the record?
the layout of the bunker will never not confuse me, especially with the reused sets.
like is this a communal washroom/shower? is this the infirmary? is this literally just a room with a tub in the middle of it?

Don’t forget that the US civil rights bill only passed after six weeks of rioting that were the direct result of MLK’s murder. Peaceful protest paved the way, but violent protest got it over the finish line.
It’s understandable why the state would not want you know that, but that’s also why it’s imperative that you do.
king’s family doesn’t “believe” the FBI killed him, they know it for fact because the FBI admitted to it in a civil case brought against them in the early 90s. the court documents are a matter of public record. read them yourself. the king family won that suit against the united states fucking government for assassinating martin luther king jr

Antivaxxers who say shit like this get one chance to look at this graph, really look at it and think about it for an hour. They get one (1) singular “tHaT WAs juST sAnITATiOn imPRoviNg”, and then they get to watch a 30 minute recording by an epidemiology historian explaining exactly why the timelines for that do not line up in any way shape or form.
And then if they persist they get fed into a woodchipper feet first.

I personally think that representation matters more in the writers room than directly on screen.
What I mean by that is not one should give a fuck what sexuality or whatever actors have, its their job to tell a story that isn’t their own, choosing someone for a role goes beyond what they look like or what their personal experiences are. What people should be concerned with is whether the story itself is coming from a place of authenticity. Is it a well written example? Are the minority represented on screen a part the real writing team? Or at the very least did they consult with those who are knowledgeable?
Who cares if a straight actor plays a queer person if the story and script itself is authentic and the actor did a brilliant job bringing it to life?
“Punishment works!!!” We’re drowning in three to four generations of people so pants-shittingly terrified of ever being wrong that half of everyone has constructed a worldview wherein they never even consider the possibility that they could be wrong and the other half behaves like one wrong move will make anything or anyone explode violently into a million irreperable pieces. I don’t think it works guys
I know this might be a bold take but maybe teaching everyone from a young age that ever making a mistake will be met with unimaginable pain and misery doesn’t actually encourage learning or correct behavior. If anything it creates a sense of terror so powerful it completely suffocates curiosity and exploration, thus leading to people knowing absolutely nothing but whatever is brought directly to them, which is a big problem in a world where information is so tightly controlled that a very small number of very powerful people basically have complete power over what people see and hear on a day-to-day basis when not actively seeking new and rigorously verified information from diverse and trustworthy sources.
if any of this sounds like you, start by looking up the definition of words you’ve heard and are pretty sure you know what they mean, but haven’t actually double-checked for yourself. Just like, whenever it occurs to you. Great first step
This post goes out to the “we need to bring back bullying” crowd. Just because you aren’t hitting someone physically doesn’t mean you aren’t being punitive. Maybe it isn’t actually healthy to believe it’s necessary to harass and humiliate anyone who makes you upset or uncomfortable. That sounds like a you problem actually.
Anyways, breaking the cycle of abuse starts with you and how you treat yourself. You have to give yourself grace and room for error or you’ll never be able to cultivate a healthier mindset than your trauma left you with. It’s not easy, but you have to trust yourself that whatever seems kinder than however you usually treat yourself is probably a good enough start.
