• Just so we’re all clear on where I stand: Black lives matter, trans women are women, trans men are men, nonbinary people are beautiful, asexual/aromantic folks have a place in the LGBTQ community, Queer is not a dirty word, and being “anti fascist” is a moral position, not a political one.

  • Roll for 3 ingredients. Could you make a meal out of these?

    Yes, quite easily!

    Theoretically...

I can't think of what I could make my ingredients into :/

    Absolutely vile ingredient choices!

  • A message for all in the new year:

    Hey there.

As we approach the end of the year and the start of the next, a lot of weight loss and diet culture content is going to be front and center.

It's hard being surrounded by messages that our bodies are not good enough, not thin enough, not perfect... even if you're confident in your body. Hearing these things day after day, even if you don't believe them yourself, can wear you down.

I can't speak for all fat folks, but even I have moments when it gets to me, and I start to feel insecure. Even though I know the logic behind what they are attempting sell to me, it can still affect me. I know I'm not the only one.

Billions of dollars are spent each year to prop up an industry that tells us that we aren't good enough as we are, and that all of our problems will go away if we spend our time, money, and energy to change our bodies to what they deem is ideal; it's an ideal that can never be fully realized, even if you do everything they recommend. They tell you that you can never be thin enough, white enough, straight enough, cis enough, attractive enough, able enough, etc., regardless of if that's what you want, or if any of it is even possible for you at all.

What I want you all to know is that you are worthy and lovable as you are right now. Right this second, and the seconds before and after that. You don't need to live up to someone else's ideal to be worthy.

My life is my own, and if there's anything I've learned over my years of living it's that I want to spend the limited time I have experiencing things that bring me joy. I spent too much time hating myself for not fitting the mold, time that I can't get back, and that misery didn't do anything good for me or for anyone else in my life.

So, what I ask of all of you who made it this far into my wall of text, is that you try to be kind to yourselves, especially in our current climate. You don't have to buy in to what is being sold to you. You don't have to change anything if you don't want to change (you also don't have to stay the same if you don't want to). You can be who you truly are.

Your worth is inherent, and you deserve to live your life in a way that brings you joy.

Mostly okay, though still a weird experience

    Hell yeah, impromptu vacation~!
