“heated rivalry is too tropey” straight people have NO LESS than THREE separate television networks dedicated to pumping out 500 made for TV movies a year based on the same 5 plotlines and character archetypes ran through a random number generator that will then constantly play on a marathon loop ad nauseam for years and years to come. i have had to sit through the same hallmark movie under different titles for years at my mother’s house every christmas and NONE of them had t.A.T.u in them so SIT the FUCK down and eat your FOOD
On a completely unserious note, I understand why Ilya enjoyed iritating my guy because Shane looked so good stressed the fuck out. 😂😂😂😂
Also, can we give it up for the homie? Hudson’s acting was phenomenal this episode. Jesus. I hope these kids go far in their careers. They’re a delight to watch.
The Gavle goat being destroyed is generally interpreted as a good omen. There is something symbolically fun about it collapsing under its own weight. Like the metaphor writes itself.

Boyfriends.
When I say that Rachel Reid’s books are written like fanfic, I want it to be understood that I don’t mean this in any derogatory sense. Some of the greatest novelists of our age are fanfic writers.
What I mean is that the writing style contains recognizable linguistic markers that are characteristic of fanfiction, and particularly of AO3 fanfiction.
Like, here’s one example:
If you visit AO3 looking for an erotic scenario in which a character experiences a prostate orgasm without any physical stimulation to his groin, you will find it under the tag: #coming untouched
If you visit pornhub looking for this same erotic scenario, you will instead find it under the tag: #handsfree
Rachel Reid specifically uses the term “untouched” when she describes Shane having this kind of orgasm in her book. That’s the term she’s more familiar with. Jacob Tierney, in contrast, uses the term he’s more familiar with, when he has Ilya say to Shane, “Remember when I made you cum hands-free? Such a good trick.”
Both writers are well-educated on the subject matter, but it’s clear they graduated from different schools.
holding your hand while i say this: heated rivalry has reached the point in it’s lifespan where people are going to start picking it apart in bad faith. this is historically what happens when something is overexposed and also when it’s beloved by a largely female/queer audience.
don’t engage with people who were never going to give it a chance to begin with. understand that it does not need to prove it’s quality to anyone, and regardless, it will likely remain a cherished romance for many millions of people from here on out.
Not much to see here.. Just the look on the face of someone who just met his ‘fuck’ 'marry’ 'kill’, trying to decide in what order.

motivating yourself to do things by thinking “my blorbo would want me to do this” is much less effective when you know in your heart that your blorbo is operating on a much worse level of self care than you. my blorbo would not care if i brush my teeth or take a shower today. my blorbo eats rocks and wears shirts they found on the floor.
