okay . i spent too long thibking about this. very hard question because all of them are perfect no exceptions. HOWEVER. some of them hit me harder personally and thats what i used to make the ranking.

10. Skylines and Turnstiles. thats mcr. its the reason theyre here, its what they want to do. its beautiful, and despite everything, hopeful. the danger days seed was planted in skylines and for that i love it.

9. Demolition Lovers. this song made me rewrite an ending for one of my stories. to fit the song. its one of the most beautiful things ive ever listened, in every way possible. it escalates in such a way my heart starts to feel actual pain. like what the fuck. im in love with this song fr

8. Famous Last Words. i wanna get a tattoo of this one, it might be the next one i do. i am not afraid to keep on living. depite everything. its so powerful. its the culmination of the black parade as an album .. and the message in this one is. not my favorite because danger days exist but theyre siblings. if you get it you get it. in the end, we must never give up.

7. Summertime. i always cry when i listen to this one, it reminds me of my partner, on various levels. us right now, us in the past, and i know it will be us in the future as well.

6. Mama. oh my god . do i even need to explain myself . i sang this on karaoke once and my dna has been rewritten. im a new person. i feel like chewing my insides when i listen to this, like i Need to tear my organs out.

5. Sleep. when FUCKING GET these guys. how dare they put this one right after mama. HOW DARE. the last part, “just sleep” vs “wake up” makes me ascend and become a higher being. desperation in its rawest yet most poetic form.

4. DESTROYA. what do i even fucking say about this. you dont believe in god i dont believe in luck they dont believe in us but i believe were the enemy. this is the song of the revolution. this is all of the rage that erupts from loving humanity and the world we live in. it starts slow and becomes a hurricane of emotions, like its slowly boiling inside you. its a masterpiece.

3. The World is Ugly. this one is also about me and my partner, but even more this time. this is like. Our song. thats us. and its also not a coincidence that this is the most t4t song ever . idk man . i cant think about too much or ill start crying . without even listening to it .

2. Foundations of Decay. okay see this one is straight up a religious experience. and i hate that it doesnt have the same impact if youre not a mcr fan. once again this is mcr, but tragedy aftet tragedy. you might think that theyre submitting, but no. if you want the world to be better, you need to see the end of everything and keep going. you must keep going. see the beauty in destruction, but never let it take you. get. up. coward.

1. Burn bright. is. my favorite song of all time actually. it has a lot of personal meaning, once again, me and my partner, multiple times, in many different contexts. its relatable yeah but thats not what carries it (this list would be a lot different if that was the case.) It was also what got me into mcr. like. actually got me. i liked some stuff they made before but, this one is what finally drove me to listen to all of their stuff. the tip of the iceberg. i became someone completely different after that. its not as bombastic as the other ones but its really personal.

also im gonna give some honorable mentions to i never told you what i do for a living and surrender the night. they Almost got in but didnt quite make it. still love them though
