I feel as if Durin is the type to be intimidated by Wanderer's lover.
He first met you as mini Durin, clinging onto Hat Guy's side and taking in the world with such awe and apprehension. Interactions with the world of Teyvat had him amazed, even if he'd only experienced an inch of the possibilities. Yet, the one thing he found himself prying about is Hat Guy's private life. When he met you, and how his first friend's eyes glinted with something unrecognizable (affection?), he was immediately one to jump to questions.
"Who's this Hat Guy?" He whisper shouted.
"My partner, (Name)."
He hasn't been able to have a proper conversation with you ever since knowing that. Hat Guy's mate? So it was someone that Hat Guy must have held in high regard. He was almost scared of you, primarily because he didn't know the type of person you were. Hat Guy was a bit prickly, would it be that you were the same, or perhaps more so? What if you disliked him? What if-
"Aww aren't you a cutie?" You pet his horns, lightly caressing his head. He was a bit shocked, and even that word was an understatement. Seriously, you treated him like a younger brother, cooing and brushing against his scales and fur, careful not to let your fingers get entangled and hurt him too much. He was a bit embarrassed too, being coddled as if he was a baby. It felt like he was in his mother's arms again, and it filled him up with such feeling of warmth.
Hat Guy even looked fond of this whole encounter, if his hours of trying to read him proved to be successful. Would it be a stretch to say that he looked... Domestic? He looked at you like you were his entire world, and at him like he was a welcome addition to that world. Durin felt so inexplicably warm, he felt as if he was overheating and had to pry himself out of your arms.
Yeah, safe to say that he liked you very much.
When Albedo turned him into a human, one of the first things he did, under Lisa's jurisdiction, was to learn how to read and write. He wanted to contact Hat Guy as soon as possible on the fact that he, was now human just like him. In a way, he also wanted to contact you, his other friend. He wanted to see you both, to hear both of your thoughts on letter. Even if in the beginning Lisa had to write things out and read the reciprocating letters back to him.
In between Hat Guy's paragraphs were your little fun tidbits. You, congratulating him, inquiring about how he looks now, making fun of Hat Guy for being so dry and monotone in this letters (which was never scratched out for any reason), and he fully absorbed every little insight, trying to get to know you better and acquiring information on what to do when he finally meets you in this form.
For this reason, he's much more eager to learn about etiquette and socializing, a most difficult journey indeed. He wanted to impress you, to show you how much he's changed since his previous form as mini Durin, how he's all grown up and not a little kid anymore (though, a hunch told him that no matter what you'd treat him all the same regardless). He wanted to protect you in the same way Hat Guy saved you in his letters and he most certainly wanted to be your equal. He's kept all his thoughts and dilemma a secret, all to give you a grand, total surprise when you finally meet him at last.
... Yet he finds himself freezing like a deer in headlights when he finally sees you at Nod Krai at last, feeling all his efforts and monologuing go down the drain.
Yeah, no matter what stage of life he's in, Durin won't lie that in each first impression you're as intimidating as the last.

IT IS A SCAM
Hundreds, if not thousands, of Tumblr users are getting THIS VERY SAME MESSAGE about someone “accidentally reporting their blogs by mistake” and the message then asks them to contact them on discord.
What’s going to happen is that these scammers will ask you to change your tumblr email to the new one they give you.
The second you do this, your blog is gone.
Once your tumblr is registered under their email, they have full control of your blog, including your password and even possibly your other personal information.
