Guys, is the plot twist in the room with us? I swear to god, we had better theories as fans than they did as writers. My mom who doesn't know much about the show could have predicted that ending!!! Because frankly hyping up a villain so powerful no one could touch him for years only for him to get bounced around like a children's toy was not on my new years card.

Will has gone through enough. Taken to the upside down, being possessed and having the mind flayer particles burned out of him, being left alone because his friends wanted to swap spit with some girls, or vicariously confessing from eleven's pov to Mike. Or being tortured by Vecna and being forced to come out and potentially having to move on because the guy he loved will never reciprocate his feelings. He has had enough. The only time he has been happy is in Season 5, Volume 1. I need him to be happy forever.
So if he wants Mike, that is exactly what he should get. And if the Duffer brothers refuse to give us what Will wants, we should let them be canon through fanfiction and fanarts.
GET HIM THE BOY, IF THE BOY IS WHAT HE WANTS.
I know Will said that Mike was his Tammy, but can we really believe him? Because this is his narrative, his thoughts and according to him Mike could never see him the way he SEES him. Mike has a girlfriend, and is happy. And Will is a person who would not destroy that. Will wanted to look for signs but we stopped seeing those after he went into a trance and Vecna showed him that what he's asking for is futile, hopeless. And so all he can do is accept himself, in front of everyone, even if it means losing Mike.
