A very special commission for my dear patron @grubbingirlmeg of her trainersona and her beloved Golisopod Podder! My customer asked me to create this illustration with the intent of turning it into a custom trading card afterwards, so I set a card overlay while working on it to make sure the characters would be properly visible. The pitch for this commission had been brewing for quite a while and I’m very happy I finally got to bring it onto canvas in December. It was a lot of fun to work on :D Thanks for your support! 🥰💖✨

sidney is such an underrated elite four member and honestly i think it’s because he’s overshadowed by more memorable dark type specialists (namely karen and grimsley) but i really do love his design and attitude especially when they leaned into a more punk style influence for him design wise in oras. his drip is fire and his attitude is great. you win against him and he’s like “damn kid that’s crazyyyy that was fun tho lmao anyways go ahead”
