Zombie setting where the undead are drawn towards unhygienic scents, so survivors constantly bathe to avoid being eaten.
Thank you all for the responses!!!! I got a few more notes to share from folks asking me about this setting :D

PLEASE CHECK OUT THE FLORIST AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yesterday, Disney asked users on Threads to use Disney quotes to show how they are currently feeling. To say that this did not go according to Disney's plan would be an understatement 😂
They deleted the thread, but they should know that this doesn't help because now the videos are making their rounds 🤣😂
I really wish people would understand that there is a vast gulf of cultural difference between “nomadic ethnic groups” and “ethnic groups which are not and have never been nomadic, but which were repeatedly violently expelled”
The Saami people are nomadic. The Buryats are nomadic. Uyghurs are not. Jews are not. Many Native American groups, including the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Creek are not. This distinction may seem small and academic but it is absolutely vital to understanding modern day conflicts involving these groups.
Some cultures are itinerant, with physical movement from place to place as an inherent part of their identity. Some cultures were violently displaced, with a cultural identity that carries the scars of being forced to relocate, against their will. It is victim blaming of the highest order to treat the second type as though it is the first.
in the whole greenland conversation i feel like there's not nearly enough acknowledgement of the fact that greenland is already suffering under imperial rule. seeing wayyyyy too much tacit validation of denmark's possession of greenland on socials today. look into reproductive abuse against greenland inuit women by the danish state. US acquisition of greenland would be bad but the status quo is not good. this is not a matter of sovereignty, i only wish it were a matter of sovereignty, it's just a bunch of imperial powers playing RISK with indigenous people's lives again
Honestly I think one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself is to separate your negative qualities from your identity.
Instead of saying “I’m lazy,” saying “I’ve made a habit of not doing work unless it’s absolutely necessary.” Instead of saying “I’m a bad friend,” saying “I haven’t communicated as much as I should with the people I care about.”
By being specific about your problems, and by framing it as an action that you are consciously either working on or ignoring rather than an unchangeable part of who you are, you allow yourself to accept your mistakes and work constructively on them instead of pretending they didn’t happen or wallowing in blaming yourself.
Shaggy Rogers is a young adult human man that eats dog treats and his friends don't even care. They act like it's normal. Not only do they know he loves eating dog treats, but they know he'll do scary dangerous shit just to eat dog treats, and they use that to their advantage. "Oh you don't wanna get asbestos poisoning in the scary abandoned building? What if we fed you a dog treat?" And he says yes and he does it and eats it and they act like that's a normal thing for a human guy to do. But then again, he also eats 10 feet tall sandwiches in one bite, so maybe he's not even human. Still fucked up that they manipulate him like that though. But whatever. Forget I said anything.
I'm obsessed with the Bath & Body Works subreddit because there's only three types of posts and it's:
1.) Women in their fifties having the epiphany that capitalism and/or marketing is evil, but like. They don't realize that that's how capitalism and marketing as a whole are designed to work; they think that this is a unique type of evil that Bath & Body Works has invented. They'll be like, "It's sick and twisted that they just keep releasing new products that are inferior quality versions of their old products with a different label and then making them seasonal items so that people feel pressured to buy them before they can really think about it because they're worried they'll miss out!!! This should be illegal!!!" You're telling me, girl. You're gonna be soooooo mad when you find out about. The whole world.
2.) Level 1-2 Hoarders in denial showing off their collections of hundreds of candles and body sprays and lotions and then frothing at the mouth in the comments section when people offer support resources for hoarding and shopping addictions.
3.) The world's most iconic autistic women with a vintage Bath & Body Works special interest who don't realize they're autistic women with a vintage Bath & Body Works special interest trying to convince themselves that the lotion they thrifted from Goodwill that expired in 2002 isn't rancid, it's "macerated".
Actually, making this rebloggable only to add that there's a fourth type of post which is people posting pictures of horrifying fires that their candles caused and being like, "This is the sixth time my candle has almost cost me my home. What should I do? I am NOT going to get rid of it. It's a discontinued scent," and everybody being like, "Oh my god??? I LOVE that one, do NOT throw it away. Just get a candle warmer."
