The U.S. states of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama also have the most biodiverse freshwater ecosystems in the world.
The Appalachian Mountains are notable for having the world's greatest diversity of tree species in a temperate forest, with over 100 species of tree that make up the forest. They're also a global hotspot of lichen biodiversity.
Fun fact, dozens of genera of plants only have 2 species in them, one found in Appalachia and one found in SE Asia. These are called vicariad species pairs. Eastern Asia and Appalachia has very similar climates, that's why all the major Appalachian invasive species, such as Kudzu, are from eastern Asia
The SE United States has some of the nation's most biodiverse ecosystems but they are also some of the least protected.

accidentally got a site's ai assistant bolted down, and I do believe I was personally responsible for it, if only because I found out how to ask it for clothing suggestions in just such a way that it kept trying to find visions of hell in its stock and describing offerings of assorted red and pink scarves as like, insect-mutilated infants
like I do really think I might be at fault if they ever looked at the logs and saw what happened

in 2014 my friends and i went on omegle with the search term "furry" and people would ask "a/s/f/o" which is Age, Sex, Fursona (Species), Orientation and every single time we would respond with "I am Job the turtle. I am slow but I will rock you" and every single time they would immediately disconnect

but have you ever even heard of the fynbos biome ?!!?!?!?!
a biome so unique in south africa that it's earned an entirely new biome classification for itself. so many plants are endemic to this area, and ofc it's under threat of extinction.
It's a wonderful place! I had the privilege of visiting the fynbos last year and it was as amazing as these photos show and more!

Don't chase after the affection of people who make you feel like you're difficult to love. Not from parents, not from partners, not from friends. You can't fill up someone with your love in the hopes that it will give them enough to share a little with you. People who truly love you will not make you beg for it.
Also, you don't Earn love. Trust, respect, admiration: those things you can earn. Love is freely given. It doesn't end when someone is upset with you, and you don't have to prove you deserve it.

Had a dream I was at an event/program and for the purpose of the event there were COPS handing out BLUNTS, like FREE blunts, and for some reason I was like nooo I’ll grab some later and then I tried and they were OUT. But there is some guy there selling them and I’m like “hey man I only have 7 dollars in cash can I please have one” and he goes “No I only sell them for like a set of 70 for 50 bucks” and I go “Dude, come on. I have 7 dollars. Just one man, come on. Please” and he’s like “…Yeahh I guess” and then I didn’t get it
