what if I, an israeli, don't feel like educating people about the conflict? what if i don't want to have to explain to you the last year and a half of grief my family, my friends, my community, went through, still going through, can't heal from until all of us are home? i don't have to justify my anger, my fear, or my resentment to you, jewish or goy. i don't need to provide a explanation before saying that people of my country are dying and my family is under missiles and my friends are enlisting to the army and I'm devastated because there was a fucking massacre. I don't want to talk about the people of gaza. I want to have the space to grieve the trgady we experienced oct. 7, to heal our people with all of our hostages home.

But we didn't get that. People were celebrating while the blood was still warm. so I am not interested in explaining myself or this conflict to you.

I know I'm not Australian but honestly I don't care, and I'm sure Jewish Australians feel even more strongly about this. I am already very tired of non-Jewish Australians crying about how they're scared and how this is about gun violence, yada yada yada. You shouldn't be scared if you're not Jewish and not a friend of Jews. This attack was not about guns. It was about antisemitism. It was about increasingly escalating antisemitic violence going unchecked by the Australian government and Australian society. There was a bunch of horrific antisemitic graffiti at the exact spot the attack happened just a week earlier. There were people in the streets calling to gas the Jews in the same city the other year and hardly anything was done about it. Stop whining about being scared or making the discourse about firearms if you're the same kind of antisemitic schmuck that enabled this attack to happen.

Every time Jews are attacked, the violence is followed by a second wave — erasure, denial, justification, and conspiracy. The Bondi Beach Hanukkah massacre was no different.

Within minutes, people were calling it a “psyop,” inventing AI fakes, blaming the victims, or claiming the attack was somehow deserved. Even many public “condemnations” refused to say the word antisemitism at all.

For two years now, Jews have been forced to grieve during nearly every holiday. But what’s even more dehumanizing is that we aren’t even allowed to mourn in peace — not without a tidal wave of hatred meeting us immediately after the violence.

We made this post to document it clearly, so no one can say they “didn’t know” what the response looked like.

Our hearts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Australian Jewish community.

In my observations: Australian progressives who for two years basically spread blood libel- which was okay because it was about Zionism not all Jews, now want to lecture us about how we should paint a whole ethic group with a broad brush.

Some Australians are prepared to bury the story about Islam & antisemitism in favour of the story about the Muslim hero of the day. Anything, anything, to infantilise Islam and divert attention from the core issue of Jew hatred. Anything to avoid deeper introspection. These same Australians are the types I saw fervently get caught up in copy/pasting the BLM movement from the US - raging against the idea of "all lives matter" as it diverts attention away from SPECIFIC issues. Yet they now have no issue with diverting attention away from Jewish issues. But hey they're on the right side of history so what do I know?

For two years, at least, accusations have been levelled at an entire country & ethnic group. By the same types of people who once lead me to believe they believe in things like self determination. It's just not a concept that is ever allowed to apply to Jews. And of course it's the Zionists, the Netanyahu fans, Netanyahu himself, who provoke a bad response from the pure souls of Hamasniks, so like if the Zios stopped being evil and mean and listened to the lectures about how they should be allowed to exist, nothing bad would ever happen again!

Because we know every attack, every terror org that exists, every peace plan that fails, everything an orchestration by the Cohen's isn't it? No other nation, political group, no other ethnicity has agency in what happens in the world, it's just those damn Zio puppeteers leading us to oblivion.

I'm sorry for hijacking your post. I've observed some responses on social media since Oct 7 and this now...it is sickening. I have a lot of thoughts I can't get out properly, but the viciousness of the hate and hypocrisy is astounding.

I discovered Stormfront style hatred years ago. But since October 7 I watched previously "human rights" aligned leftists who I thought denounced such hate, actually leave the gates fully open to such hate becoming mainstream - just obfuscate it all with ideological buzzwords for plausible deniability. I have no idea how we can ever close these gates.

Everyone knows Ahmed Ali Ahmed's name.

It's time to know theirs:

Boris and Sofia Gurman - Russian Jews. The first people who attempted to disarm one of the shooters. They died protecting people.

Reuven Morrison - a 60 year old Jewish man who hurled a brick at one of the shooters to distract him. He was shot and killed.

Edith Brutman - vice president of an anti-prejudice and anti-discrimination committee at B’nai B’rith NSW.

Marika Pogany - an 82 year old Jewish volunteer who assisted Jewish seniors.

10 year old Matilda. A Jewish girl who was shot and killed while playing at the petting zoo.

Dan Elkayam - a French Jew living in Australia who loved soccer.

Rabbi Eli Schlanger - father of five, who promoted dancing with joy to combat antisemitism.

Rabbi Yaakov Levitan - shot while handing out tefillin.

Peter Meagher - retired police officer who was taking photos at the events. Photography was his retirement passion.

Alex Kleytman - a Holocaust survivor who died protecting his wife.

Tibor Weitzen - a Russian Jew known as the "lolli man". He would give confectionery to the children of his shul.

An unidentified 40-year-old man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital on Sunday but died at the hospital.

And we still have more to be identified.

October 7th wasn’t really so surprising. Israel’s lack of security sure, but terrorists killing Jews is very predictable. I always knew evil existed.

October 8th was the real surprise. People poured into the streets to celebrate the murder, kidnappings, and rape. 1200 people died in a day and the “anti-racist” left was jubilant. One day people claimed to oppose antisemitism, then 1200 Jews were murdered and the next day they claimed that “zionists” control the media, the government—that we deserved what happened.

Evil exists, I was just startled by its popularity
