When you try to talk about enshittification, it sounds like conspiracy theories. (I’m not crazy)

Amazon made their service worse, to force people to pay for Prime.

Nowadays, if you order from Amazon, there is a week long delay before your package is shipped. (on purpose)

I remember when orders would ship out the same day. (I remember - it was real)

YouTube didn’t used to have ads. Now, ads play in the middle of videos. (it’s worse than TV ever was)

The best can opener I have owned is over 40 years old. Modern ones just don’t hold up as well. (The ones I bought new broke ages ago)

The bread machine my mom got for her wedding lasted 30 years. It’s been replaced twice in the last 5 years. (How can you fuck this up?)

The cardboard tubes in the middle of toilet paper rolls have gotten larger. (This too?) Companies increasing the price of the product while selling you less. (REALLY?)

It sounds crazy. (it’s the truth) When you talk about it, YOU sound crazy. (it’s true)

Even when people believe you (do they really), all they can say is “it sucks”. (it’s too big) Because the problem is so big, so pervasive, what can we even DO about it???

To get the necessary laws written and passed, we need politicians, to get the politicians elected we need information campaigns, to fund campaigns we need money, and all the money is being hoarded by the people profiting from enshittification. (it sounds so fake)

So I talk about enshittification (it sounds crazy), so people don’t forget that things have been made worse on purpose (it’s true), even though I sound crazy. (maybe I am)

Celebrating my first year in the Supernatural fandom by reposting Dean and Cas portraits! Most of these are on my Redbubble store, ArtBySalchat.

sandgrassbagel:

love as a winchester

it’s such a vulnerable thing, for dean winchester to admit he’s in love. dean comes from a family of men and women who were destroyed, corrupted, by their own love.

his mother, who made a deal with a demon to save her lover, and who later died for it.

his father, driven obsessed and off the rails by grief and love for his wife after she was killed.

his brother, who left his life of normalcy behind in search of revenge over fifteen years ago, and who never made it back out of the hunter’s life after he got it.

it is a dangerous, terrifying, thing to be a winchester and to be in love. the way that dean loves cas has nearly destroyed him, repeatedly. But the way dean loves cas has also saved him, repeatedly. He knows that it will continue to do both, because he is too far past the point of pretending he doesn’t love cas.

Castiel decided, briefly and fondly, that humans should not be allowed this much enthusiasm.

Dean was laughing. Actually laughing, bright and unrestrained, as the sledge tore down the snowy hill far faster than Castiel considered reasonable. Wind snapped at Dean’s jacket, snow sprayed up around them, and the world felt dangerously unanchored.

“This is unsafe,” Castiel called, wings itching invisibly as instinct urged him to intervene. He tightened his grip on Dean’s hand anyway, boots skidding as he half ran, half hovered behind the sledge. “You could collide with a tree. Or a rock. Or—”

Dean twisted just enough to grin back at him, eyes sparkling with cold and joy. “Cas, relax!”

“I am relaxed,” Castiel lied. He was absolutely not relaxed. Dean Winchester should not be allowed to hurl himself downhill on a wooden contraption powered by gravity and poor decisions.

The sledge hit a bump. Dean whooped. Castiel’s heart lurched.

“Dean!” Castiel protested. “You are behaving recklessly.”

Dean laughed even harder. “What? That’s what you’re for!”

Castiel blinked. “I beg your pardon?”

“You know,” Dean said, squeezing his hand, voice warm despite the rush of air. “Saving me. Watching my back. Being my safety net.”

The words settled into Castiel’s chest like fresh snow, soft, quiet, impossibly tender. He looked at their joined hands. Dean was not pulling away. He was trusting Castiel to keep up.

“…Very well,” Castiel said, a small smile tugging at his mouth. He adjusted his grip, steadied them both, and let just a hint of grace slip into the moment. Nothing obvious. Nothing Dean would notice. Just enough.

The sledge flew true.

Dean whooped again. “See? Told ya!”

Castiel watched him, windburned cheeks, reckless joy, utterly alive, and felt something gentle and bright unfold inside him.

Perhaps, Castiel thought, this was what he was for.

When the sledge finally slowed at the bottom of the hill, Dean leaned back, breathless and grinning. “Again?”

Castiel did not let go of his hand. “Yes,” he said softly. “Again.”

So I was taught a lesson in how to get rid of a migraine in 30 seconds and omfg listen my migraines don’t go away ever but I was shown what part of my body to touch and like???????????????

It’s witchcraft????????? Like I would be burned at the stake if I lived in ye olde days knowing that information?????

What the fuck??????

Spill it! Lol….Hooooowwwww?? Had migraines since age 9….😓😓😓

Its called the T4 push, but I literally can’t find the info online????? I guess I’m not searching good enough? These medical fuckers are holdin out on us lol.

It’s best to have someone do this for you while you stand up and relax your muscles as best you can, but if you’re alone, a tennis ball and a flat surface will probably work. Alternatively you can lie on the edge of a bed at the pressure point. (But no really do try to find someone to do it for you)

Find the area in your spine between either the first, second, third, or fourth vertebrae. It should be sore and uncomfortable to press down on, so look for the one that’s most painful, and press down with as much pressure as you can on that area for 30 seconds.

Realize that 80% of your pain has magically disappeared and keep the info secret if you live in a small puritan town, lest you be tried for witchcraft.

If you don’t have to worry about being burned or hanged, then share the info with your migraine suffering friends.

As someone who wrote a 10k word paper on pressure points for a high belt ranking test in her martial arts class, I can tell you that you just found a pressure point used in acupressure and acupuncture to relieve pain, particularly that in the head. :)

Hand to god we discovered this by accident when my husband was rubbing my neck and I nearly collapsed it felt so good

This post was sent by literal angels??? I’ve had a persistent low-level headache for nearly 24hrs and now it’s gone??? In 30 seconds? What gods did you sacrifice to for this information!?!?

As a medical massage therapist, I thought I would give my two cents.

This is good for tension migranes and normal migraines, but actually pretty useless for sinus migraines. It’ll help for a hot second, but quickly come back. (These are usually the migraines behind your eyes, in your ears, and behind your forehead. Sometimes it can feel like jaw pain or TMJ) for sinus migraines, behind the ear in a divot. Press down firmly and pull towards your collarbone. That’ll drain your sinuses. Also, pressing around the eye socket on the cheekbones help. There is also a little triangle up away from the eye in the eyebrow bone. Press and hold pretty hard and that’ll relieve that behind the forehead pain. Also, ear pulling is great to help move sinuses around.

Don’t forget the temples too! Press firmly and hold. Open and close your jaw while holding your temples. It’ll feel weird, but it’ll help with jaw pain. It’ll work a similar way if you hold the jaw joint under your cheekbone.

And never underestimate the power of a foot massage!! Give minutes can be all the difference!! Our feet are our base. If they hurt even a little, somewhere else in your body will hurt. Treat your feet and sinuses kindly!

As a lifelong sufferer from frequent migraines I will reblog this everytime I see it, for myself and my fellow sufferers!!

As someone who suffers from migraines and TMJ this is actually really helpful information to know!

Thank you for this!

Honestly, migraine is a condition that can come along WITH tension headaches and sinus headaches, at the same time, but there is no such thing as “sinus migraines” and “tension migraines.” “Migraine” is NOT a word synonymous with “headache.” Migraine is a whole dysfunctional process that comes with other symptoms because head pain (often, but not always). Sometimes there isn’t head pain at all, just the other symptoms. I have a friend wjo gets numbness and tingling down one side of her body with migraine, but little or no head pain.

Me, I sometimes get a tension or sinus headache that devolves into a migraine, or sometimes have them at the same time. Migraine is characterized, for me, by one-sided temple pain that eventually feels like someone is poking my eye with an ice pick, nausea, sensitivity to light, sound, and, oddly, having to go to the toilet a lot. Eventually, if it’s bad enough, I’ll vomit. As a headache specialist told me once, migraine affects your brain, so, depending on the region of your brain affected, you may have lots of other weird symptoms to go with the head pain … or, as I said, no head pain at all.

I’m ready to try the T4 trick, though. I’ve also tried the trick where you put your feet in hot water and cold on the back of your neck. It helps some, but it’s no triptan. The relief is usually temporary.

Holy fucking christ out of 300k notes, I found another person who knows migraine isn’t a synonym for “bad headache”. I’ve replied to this post MULTIPLE times over the years and felt like I was howling into the void. Thank you, @pinchtheprincess.
