i feel like twice a year or so ilya gets extra restless and itchy and moody and shane knows what he needs but ilya would never say it so shane endures a week of ilya being avoidant until shane starts saying stuff like “i know you fucking need it” and ilya spits back “i don’t fucking need anything” until a few days later shane corners him and finally something in ilya snaps and shane determinedly, meticulously, unrelentingly, fucks ilya until he cries. and for the rest of that evening there’s a fragile reverent energy in the air as they stare at each other in wonder. and then ilya is good to go for another six months or so
