Now I know that one of the dynamics of Phil's streams is the back and forth between him and chat. He roasts us we roast him in return.
However, chat has consistently gone too far with their jokes and it is turning into straight up bullying, and that needs to stop.
For example the whole bit of him not having eyebrows. I'll admit I've been in on the joke before but during his last stream he mentioned off-handedly that it has turned into an insecurity for him and to me that's not acceptable.
When making fun of streamers we should be teasing them, not making them develop insecurities they didn't have before.
You all do realise that Phil doesn't *have* to stream right? And that at this point it's mostly just a hobby for him? He's likely made enough money from the past few years that if he stops now he'll live comfortably for the rest of his life.
We don't want to bully Phil to the point where he's not having fun anymore. It's already gotten to the point where Phil and Kristin have had to put a stop to the jokes about redstone because it was making him not want to do redstone.
I have a long history of being bullied myself in childhood, and Phil has also talked about being bullied in his own childhood. And I do feel for him because I know what it's like and it makes me uncomfortable seeing how his own chat bullies him.
I'm not asking that we stop bantering with Phil, God knows I love banger. But what I'm asking is that we tone it down so that Phil doesn't stop having fun.
I fully admit that I have been guilty of making these jokes before in chat. At first it was light-hearted, but I agree that it’s gotten way out of hand and needs to stop.
