This video and subsequent post range from drastically misconstruing the truth to blatantly lying.

The messages that are being referenced in this video have been taken GREATLY out of context. Most of these messages were private in an 18+ vent channel, being shared amongst friends, concerning an artist (@mitski-boy's mutual) that was making Kip uncomfortable. Any other messages posted were regarding concerns about plagiarism.

The reason this artist made Kip uncomfortable is because they were copying a LOT of Kip’s art while also using their copy of Kip’s self-insert OC to portray things like self harm, among other dark topics.

Since you conveniently covered up your mutual's art, I have provided some evidence.

Any attempts to comment on the similarities were either brushed off with "Kip's just an inspiration" or outright deleted.

Kip has never encouraged anyone to harass or otherwise contact this artist; if anyone HAS confronted them regarding their possible plagiarism, it was not because Kip asked them to. The fact that none of the callout videos or posts created show actual proof of this “harassment” should be a dead giveaway that it probably did not occur or was not actually harassment, but here we are.

Kip eventually chose to block this artist purely because their art made her uncomfortable; she did not want any part of this to become public and did not want to draw negative attention to this young artist because of it, outside of private moments of venting. Immediately after the blocking took place is when these conversations got “leaked” and this whole mess got made public.

Anyone else who has been removed from Kip's server, blocked by Kip, or spoken to by Kip for their actions has been in response to negative behavior that was reported by other users in her server. In this regard, I am hesitant to provide examples, because most involved were minors, and these things have been put to bed as far as Kip is concerned. It isn't worth digging up, but I invite those involved with this mess and the other event in question to reflect on their behavior.

Kip is a good friend who just wants to be allowed to make her art and treated like a normal person. The fact that this video and post were made without at least getting Kip’s side of the story is ridiculous and dangerous; accusations like this can plague someone's mental health and/or ruin lives. I sincerely encourage you to take it down or at least recant yourself, @mitski-boy. Just because your mutual is a minor does not mean they can't (at best) make misguided mistakes or (at worst) blatantly lie and plagiarize a person's work, and that they shouldn't be held accountable.

I would also like it known that Kip did not ask me to do this in any way. Since the start of this, she has chosen to let this be and not acknowledge it, which I repeatedly and consistently encouraged. However, something I have learned about all this has pushed me to actually speak up. While Kip is a very nice person, who would prefer things not escalate rather than cause a fuss, I, on the other hand, am a bitch who is righteously angry on her behalf with one particular party to this whole mess. I volunteered to make this post, and the only thing Kip said was, "If you wish."

Everything I say, that is not fact or backed up with evidence, is my opinion. I do not speak for or on Kip's behalf*. I just can no longer sit by and watch my friend be in distress at the hands of careless children and maladaptive adults.

Which brings me to you, @denicemadson.

And before you start with the "it's just rubber hose style" argument, I also draw with a rubber hose style, and none of my art looks even close to Kip's

I will acknowledge that there are some similarities; I have adopted some of Kip's artistic mannerisms into my own work and I render my screenshot edits the same way she does (she posted a tutorial for it). But it is obvious that the styles are not the same.

Additionally, as I'm sure you remember but failed to mention, there are NUMEROUS artists in Kipcord (Kip’s Discord server) with MANY examples of toony or rubber hose art styles that don't rip Kip off; it was only you who was a problem.

You not only hopping on this bandwagon, but openly egging it on, like you have done nothing wrong, is absolutely vulgar; you encourage minors to lie about and attack her, and then play the martyr like you've always been the victim. It's disgusting and pathetic. You're a jaded, parasocial adult, weaponizing angry children. Do better.

Finally, this is by no means a call to action for people to harass or attack anyone perpetuating this fake story; that is not what I want and that is DEFINITELY not what Kip wants (*this is the one instance where I am speaking for her). If you do harass or attack these people, you are only hurting Kip's reputation. If you want to help, report the videos and posts for misinformation and otherwise ignore those talking about this issue. What they want is attention and clout for dragging a big creator down; they don't deserve it, do not give it to them.

TL;DR
Kip is being accused of things she didn't do with shoddy or misconstrued evidence by people who have blatantly ripped her off, played victim, and condemned her for doing the exact things they are doing now. Report the misinformation and ignore their bullshit.
