See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

ᏏᏲ ᏂᎦᏓ, hey y'all, my names bull or Chris. I’m a digital artist and printmaker, you can find my art @xylographica. I dabble in pottery here and there, I love hiking and camping and foraging, and im very interested in religious studies and cultures throughout history. I live in the rural deep South

I’m white and reconnecting cherokee, which means I grew up away from the culture. I knew nothing about it until around 3 years ago when I started doing genealogy research; I’ve been actively reconnecting for 2 years. [For cherokees: I’m working on CNO citizenship, I have documented ancestry on the Dawes rolls]

I’m fine with people coming to me with questions about cherokee reconnection or genealogy, but remember that I’m reconnecting, so I’m not an authority on all things cherokee or native! If you’re in my inbox claiming to be cherokee, don’t be on anon

Here’s my cherokee reconnecting masterpost with info on genealogy and some other resources. Also check out my #reconnecting tag

If I’ve answered any questions or helped you with genealogy, I’d appreciate it if you’d donate to Little Cherokee Seeds

I write this with a heavy heart… My friend is going through the hardest days of his life. Yesterday he lost his uncle, and today his mother is still in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy.

On the third day of her treatment, his mother sleeps most of the time from sheer exhaustion. Each chemotherapy session lasts a full 22 hours, and she's connected to it without a break.

Between the grief of loss and the pain of illness, they can no longer afford the costs of continuing her treatment

I write to you today pleading for compassion and humanity… Any donation, any help, any contribution could make a real difference and help save a mother's life.

Whoever can help, please don't hesitate.Support now means so much 💔

abdulrahman-family

Do I deserve all this pain? Don't I have a heart to feel what you're going through? 💔

I share this with you with a broken heart... My mother is suffering terribly and is still in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy. She is in excruciating pain, and I stand helpless before her suffering, able only to pray. Amidst this pain, I also lost my uncle and his wife... loss after loss, and unbearable sorrow.

Everything weighs heavily on my shoulders, and each day is harder than the last. The situation is incredibly difficult for us. Please... if you can help, donate, or even just share this appeal, please don't hesitate. Your support could save my mother's life and give us a glimmer of hope in this darkness. 💔

[Image description: mobile screenshot taken from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe Facebook that is a statement released by the Chief of Standing Rock. The statement reads as follows:

Chairman sitting Bear's statement regarding SRST Public Safety, January 9th, 2026.

I have been receiving reports and evidence of First Nations people being racially targeted, assaulted, and detained by the federal agency Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). We want to remind our members to be safe and proactive by carrying with you at a minimum your tribal identification cards or a copy of your degree of Indian Blood. Our tribal identification affirms our citizenship and political status.

Our Nation is a sovereign government and our members are not immigrants. We are not subject to immigrant enforcement on our own lands. Any federal activity within our boundaries must recognize and respect our tribal sovereignty, treaty obligations, and established jurisdictional boundaries. Any ICE presence or activity within our lands is not authorized, not welcome, and will be addressed. Unauthorized personnel will be escorted off our lands.

If you are profiled, harassed, or detained, please notify us immediately (701) 854-8529. My staff is working on a "Know Your Rights" information phone line that will be released in the incoming days. Please watch our social media page for further communication.

Again, I strongly advise all First Nations people to carry your tribal information as a practical measure. Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is committed to the protection, dignity, and well-being of our own people and to the continued exercise of our rights and jurisdiction. End image description.]

As someone pointed out in the tags, Minnesota is ALSO has detained Native Americans, and specifically is holding at least 3 Oseti Sakowin people hostage at Fort Snelling, and ICE is saying they'll only release those hostages if the reservations enters an "Agreement" (i.e to hand over whoever ICE wants) with ICE. ( Source )

and I feel like it's important to note that I don't think this is a coincidence: Fort Snelling, where the Lakotas are being held hostage by ICE, is the site of the largest mass execution of United States history where Lincoln hung 38 Dakota Men, and it was/is a concentration camp for Native Americans. Can you see where this is going?

one side of the Drunk Indian stereotype that i think a lot of people dont ever see is how its used to kill us. deaths arent investigated because its assumed "well they were drunk" (see: starlight tours, but also many other deaths) and medical professionals dont help us or assume we're lying about not drinking and dont treat us to punish us for it. some of the worst things ive heard from people who think all natives are drunkards has been from EMTs and ER staff. so how do you think it goes for the ntv when they have to treat an indigenous person :/

#same w drugs for Black natives as well #they had me on a needle count when I first started cus we mobbed up to the pharmacy #had to wait til I got a Black pharmacist to see they wrote I was a needle risk in my script notes ( tags from @mettaworldpiece )

☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️ yes. ive seen drugs come up at times too in many forms from needle counts to doctors calling people "junkies" for requesting the pain medication they were prescribed. but this is doubly worse for Black natives.

and i particularly want to put a pin in those who are unable to access any available indian health services programs because of tribal policys antiblackness. IHS is one of the biggest ways i feel natives can take back power in the medical patient space, but blood quantum and ongoing exclusion of freedman descendants often deny citizenship to Black natives and in doing so deny them access to tribal resources like IHS

the pharmacy is a huge site for gatekeeping and discrimination... and they looove getting to weaponize how public a pharmacy is too to shame you into compliance. pharmacists have a lot of power over you and its easy to forget what role they play in determining what medical help you "really need." and so much of this all happens behind the scenes, in file notes youre not allowed to access or are kept in the dark about despite it literally being About You
