Somehow. Somehow it has taken me 10 years to realize that Teru calls Ritsu “Ototo-kun” (basically calling him “(Mob’s) little brother”) because otherwise both Mob and Ritsu would be “Kageyama-kun” and Teru is differentiating.

All this time I thought Teru was being quirky or rude (or maybe both) in a like “you as a person are ‘Mob’s little brother’ to me” or “I never learned your name so your name is Little Brother” and I’m only now realizing that Teru might ACTUALLY have been intentionally staying respectful by avoiding switching to first names for these two.

WHICH is the complete opposite to how Shou calls Mob “Ritsu no aniki” because right out of the gate Shou has gone full “first name, no honorific” on Ritsu and therefore the only reason he has to call Mob “Ritsu’s older brother” is because he does noooot fucking know Mob’s name.
