His hands held her side as dawn went to dusk. she looked at him, hoping he’ll at least raise his head. instead, his grip around her tighten, breath shuddering while he spoke clearly, word by word,“Never ever tell me not to worry again” then he finally lifted his head, his eyes locked onto hers. even though now she was blinded on one side, he could still see beauty in her. (romantic, i know >|])

When he locked gazes with her, she twitched slightly. A wave of fear went over her. she only saw anger and betray in him, but she understood why. she lied to him, telling him she’ll stay safe from harm. Her situation said otherwise, she came back with one blind eye. her voice shook as she told him,”I didn’t notice the deviant-“ “I TOLD YOU TO STAY SAFE” he interrupted her, slightly shaking her smaller form.

“I did-“ “AND YOU COME BACK LIKE THIS?? BULL SH**” “L- Look I was—“ “YOU were careless, unaware and stupid to think that you could survive out there ALONE. THEN, YOU TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY ABOUT YOU?? WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!” “IT WAS HALF OF A SUICIDE ATTEMPT ALRIGHT?!?” their ‘small’ argument ended with her statement. her eyes were shut while he was looking for them.

a second passed and their ears started to ring.

their heads turned to look at the door

she was pulled closer into him, his left arm wrapped around her body. his free hand started to turn monstrous, palm facing the door. “i have my reasons why i should always be with you” he whispered into her ear. her breath hitched as she watched the door behind her being pounded by something big. As guessed, a deviant bursts in, but before it could even lay a hand on them, it melted into only blood and meat.

“because we both know only a deviant can kill another deviant” he continued. she turned to look at him. he frowned, seeing a tear stream down her face. he sighed, wiping her tears.
