The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be done with it and the sooner you can stop thinking about it. Go on, up you get, it won’t be as bad as you think.
You won’t want to do it later either. You might as well just do it now. Even if you don’t finish it all, anything you manage to get done now is something you don’t have to do later (when you still won’t want to do it)

EATING MY CHARGER
(via heyitsjaybird)
We keep talking about how Cas is never allowed to stay in the story but the thing is that noone else is allowed to stay either. Mary and Jack kept leaving too. They were so scared that God forbid their brother show would have another beloved character. Except Lucifer. That fucker was never allowed to leave.

ok im really curious,
are you more or less likely to comment on a fic if you see the author replies to comments?
im MORE likely to comment
im LESS likely to comment
this doesnt influence whether or not i comment
nuance
see results/i never comment/i dont read fics/im bald
this was made with specifically ao3 in mind but it can apply to wtever
id appreciate rb’s for a bigger sample size (and id love to hear elaborations on why you chose what you did in the comments/tags!)
its funny to me that a large portion of people say they’re more likely to comment if they see the author engages with comments
Its almost as if engagement make people want to engage. its almost like saying something into a void and getting no response doesn’t really make you want to keep talking
I’d love to flip this around and point a mirror back at people who view leaving comments as some kind of transactional power that they think they hold. Here are some of the most common hater responses to authors who talk about being sad by lack of response or engagement from their readers:
-An author doesn’t owe you a response
-You should comment just because you like to leave comments not so that the author will talk to you
-Just because you’re writing a comment for free doesn’t mean the author has to pay for that comment with a response
-The author is just too shy to respond/doesn’t know what to say
BTW this goes for artists as well, who from what I have seen experience similar arguments when they publicly lament hits to engagement ratios

Personally, I think youβve connected them.
