what the fuck does anyone even miss from 2016. zika virus? clowns? brexit? y'all must have had a different year than me
So I didn’t cry as much as I thought I would because what tugged at me more was how offensive Fitz’s death was. Like really—worms?? It’s funny to think about but to actually consider as the way he died is so disrespectful. Open sores, maggots, bleeding eyes, parasites crawling around—REALLY?
It could’ve been done so differently in way that conveys it was his time to go without that disrespect. The ending of a series are notoriously hard to do effectively where everyone is pleased, I know that so well. But this was not the way to say goodbye to someone you created and have been with for decades
Quick thoughts but Fitz actually deserved a better ending. I will elaborate soon but I can’t even cry fully because one. I can’t accept it’s over and two. I feel offended for him
so no one thought to spoil me on how traumatic malta’s birth scene was gonna be. haha. you guys didn’t want to warn your best friend tumblr user neatbay🧍🏻♀️
I've seen a few people talk about how part of Fitz's dislike of Amber is misogyny, but I think it is more accurate to call it transmisogyny. The fact that Amber is a person Fitz views as otherwise being a man that is now living as a woman is a huge part of his reaction to her. Even if you say that Fitz accepts Beloved's facets in later books (which I honestly think is debatable), Amber is still the one that's a woman in contrast to the other facets all being men in Fitz narration. I do think that part of Fitz's dislike of Amber is because of his attraction to her, and this too links back to transmisogyny.
